Beautiful shoe and colours, I would prefer it without the goyser, but nitpicking.

What would be the quintessential NST color? I may order one that actually fits this time and was thinking to do something different than the whiskey? Any thoughts?

I don't think I'd ever get sick of the color I ordered: whiskey shell. I think anyone who sees this shoe should agree and wouldn't want to sell

Rather than the colour, I would worry about the last and leather, I ordered mine in the Peter last and cognac scotchgrain. I hated it, It was boring and creased ugly. I would go for a sleeker last in a darker color to put some edge on them, single sole.

Just curious to know, which Saphir creme/wax do owners of Vass Oxblood shoes use? If not Saphir, which brand/colour? Thanks in advance.

My OEII Oxblood are still in production, and should be on their way soon [IMG]

Still available on an MTO I guess...I'd seen this model before, and if you look carefully at the suede section it reminded me of a woman corset (with mega wide hips)....

I stayed in the same family by getting antique Cognac calf. No complaints whatever.

Another photo of the bordeaux Alt Wien in the P2 last, one of my favorites. It's one of the classic Vass models but It's not frequent in the forum.

I ordered this Alt Wien a cuople of years ago after finding the picture of this fine pair online:

Sorry my bad. Somehow thought that the whole Ugolini thing was gone forever. Obviously not. Didn't know the "U" from the U-last stands for Ugolini.

How does the double sole work with that in your opinion? I know their office tends to view the P2 as a single-sole sort of last. Whether that's based on form or function I couldn't say.
