Melbourne based singer, listening to her live is a very different experience than listening to her album. Understandably the sound guys tend to foreground her vocals and the dynamics are hair-raising, but the mastering on the album is a little more laid back.

    Full Album on Soundcloud.

really digging the new Jon Hopkins album. Both the low-key (which feature King Creosote if I'm not mistaken) and more beats-y stuff really work

seems like the Disclosure album has the House (PUN INTENDED) divided.

    Need more geetars in here.

    Baby Grandmothers- Self Titled (1968)

Absolute killer psychedelic album from Sweden. I like in particular how they start out with one sort of motif (? probably nowhere near the correct terminology) and continue to build off of it and get more complex, but still retain or come back to the original. Reminds me of the opener on Neu!'s self titled. As far as I know they only had two releases under this name, absolutely recommended. I think the whole album is on youtube.

Listened to the whole Chance mix tape today. good stuff. I think there are maybe some guest rappers on a couple tracks? who are amazing. or maybe that's him. anyway.. it's pretty damn good. I can see how the labels are jumping to sign him.

Also listening to Wild Belle the last few days.

This is making me happy right now.

... with Chief Keef and King Louie "features" where neither actually has a verse. [IMG]

    TNGHT production is nice though.

I'm kinda disappointed it leaked, but that hasn't stopped me from listening to it four times already.

If you're not listening to the new Action Bronson & Harry Fraud album "SAAB Stories", you're doing it wrong.

Not sure how I feel about Yeezus. Listened to it twice now.

Enjoying SAAAB Stories a lot. Another rap mixtape I'd recommend: Mr. Muthafuckin' eXquire - Kismet.

Haven't heard Yeezus, but based on the ad, the new Jay-z album is going to be sick.

Yeezus is weird. I'm not sure how I feel about it after 2 listens. It's almost like industrial rap...nine inch nails meets kanye.
If it wasn't Kanye I don't think it would get much radio play but I'm sure it will be blowing up the air waves soon enough.

Planning on listening to J. Cole later today. Now that's an album I've been looking forward to. And the new Jay-Z!!! So pumped about that.
