Sure. They are a little austere but nothing insurmountable.

    Stanleys are okay looking IMHO.
Gimmeshoes has em for half price (140-something) in black and dark brown.
Not a bad deal if you're in the states. They usually run that much in pounds, plus 20 pounds shipping = ridiculous.

Anyone know where I might find something like these but for less?

Essential side-zip tan suede boots, with or without a burnished toe. Closest i have is a pair of red wing pecos that I thought of resoling with a leather sole. Anyhow know if it's possible to slim down the shaft of the boot and add a zip? Otherwise it won't fit well under slimmer jeans.

Hey guys. I have been on a mad search for these boots for months. I emailed GQ, Details, searched multiple forums and nothing. So I was wondering if anyone on here has ANY information on the boots? Thank you:D

With the ridiculous delays in the Dayton boot fiasco, I picked up a pair of Fiorentini + Baker boots for half the price as the service boots. They are suede (pretty close to nubuck tho) and a warm gray (taupe).

Before I ask the requisite "where can I find a shoe/boot like x" question I thought I'd post some content of my own:

    Officine Creative suede brogue boots:

Picked these up at Bloomingdales a couple months back when they were having a big sale. I like 'em so far. Build quality is great and it's hard to find a boot with a light colored sole that isn't too dressy. They have some nice subtle distressing.

    And now the question:

Where can I find a *slim* side-zip or chelsea boot in medium brown with a nice patina, not too dressy? I'd love a cut like Fiorentini+Baker Elf (which I have a pair of, but only ever seem to come out in Suede or dark leathers):

But in this kind of color:

Seems simple, right? But yet there don't seem to be any options..

John Varvatos heritage mercer maybe. The color might be a little too dark though, but only a little.
