I think it sounds fun but English is a must.

Good. That's perfectly fine with me. Let's forget about the Dutch pool. It is the only one I have experience with, so maybe someone else can decide which English pool to use.

Question: why is the word "Pool" spelled out in the thread title?

I thought I needed a spelled-out beginning and end, to embrace the middle part.

    Are you in, gdl?

I'll probably sign up for this sometime.

Can't wait for the World Cup. Placed a small parlay bet a few weeks ago on the first games in anticipation.

    France to beat Uruguay
    Argentina to beat Nigeria
    Germany to beat Australia
    Cameroon to beat Japan
    Italy to beat Paraguay
Brazil vs Korea over 3 goals
    Spain to beat Switzerland

    $10 to win $943.87

Can't wait to watch the games.

Under Set of Predictions Name, chose your SF name, not your yahoo login. We need to recognise each other by name.

    Hope this is satisfactory?

Excellent! That makes us a league of 4 players so far.

Unfortunately, my team is not represented in this World Cup so I am picking some sentimental favourites with Cote d'Ivoire pretty high up there.

I am in. I'd be happy with either Netherland or Argentina, a repeat of the 1978 final.

Cote d'Ivoire is no "sentimental" favourite - They've got the reigning Golden Boot winner from the EPL, Didier Drogba, the Toure brothers from Barca and Man City respectively, and a host of other quality players like Emmanuel Eboue, Didier Zokora, Solomon Kalou and Bakari Kone. Not to mention, they also have a top line international manager in Sven-Goran Eriksson

A lot of people have Brazil and Portugal booked to make it out of that group, but personally, my money is on Brazil and the Ivory Coast making it out.
