Just picked up a copy tonight, not sure if this is the first issue as I have never seen or heard?

Published by the same guys that do Revolution (mag about watches).

May do a review if it is worth it..

    Anyone heard or read it?

Never heard of it, but the name sounds cool. Where is it published, in Asia?

    - Asia (SIN of all places..)

    - yes this is it, there is an article on A&S amongst other things.. So far, lot's of advertorial (as expected with any maiden publication) & lot's of helicopter view articles on clothing.. I think the title sounds better than the actual content.. Will give it another go over brunch.

Never read The Rake, but I'd go and recommend The Chap. A fine magazine (though not if one is just looking for style advice) and good read.

    A Singapore-based fashion magazine? [IMG]

I've seen other Singapore magazines like that before and I hope they're different.... good name though.

    - I agree.. The mag was wrapped in plastic! If I had known I would have read cautiously..

I also grabbed this recently at Page One in Times Square. It looks to be the first issue. It seems interesting enough and it wasn't overly expensive.

Actually, that would be the EAN13 bar code. Magazines do not have ISBN numbers, they have 8-digit ISSN numbers which you'd probably find on the page that has names of staff etc - it should be 1793-7914 if my check digit calculation is correct (the 4 in the bar code is pricing information).

The online articles are excellent, and the authors appear to know what they are talking about. I found the description of Anda Rowland spot on!

    PG, a review?

Articles are bit short, but not bad. The piece on the A&S cut contains some mistakes, but it's quite interesting nonetheless.

It's not a bad magazine. I posted about it in the "How Hong Kong is different thread".

Last month they did a profile on Charvet, Trousers Fit and Brioni.

The latest issue has a cover story on Cleverley shoes
