TheODGuy - nice shirts! That's the most recent label, post-2005 or so.

Also loving that Zegna XXX tie - hrm, wondering if Bizzocchi ties are made by the same factory... just hit me that the contrast stitching is very similar.

Overall - wow, some amazing finds lately! People must really be tossing out some nice stuff in preparation for the holidays! Post pics, people! ;)

As for me... hit about 9 or 10 stores Friday and Saturday and bleh. Lots of nothing.

Did see an Alan Flusser bespoke suit - the real deal, not the licensed - was interesting but there seems to be no market for them, and it was dated 1990. :x
Also saw a Karl Lagerfeld suit but it was Made in USA so licensed and worthless. Ah, well.

    Only pickups were:
    - two J. Press shirts in 17.5 / 35 - pay-for-gas
    - Jos A Bank black v-neck cashmere XL - pay-for-gas
    - Brooks Brothers Made in Italy 10D shoes - shoes have been few and far between lately and these are in great shape. Unfortunate styling but I wasn't going to leave them.

Are these the ones made by Peal&Co? I recently picked up a pair of AE's that look nearly identical. I wasn't a huge fan of the style at first, but its simplicity has really grown on me.

no - these are made in Italy by who knows who. also, you do realize peal & co is just a name that brooks bought out to slap on their shoes made by various english makers, right?

I got these Allen Edmonds Sanford shoes this week. There was also a recent glen plaid Hickey Freeman suit that I almost bought until I noticed the row of tiny red stains all down the front.

I thought C&J made the majority of the Peal shoes for BB?

WGP....either of the J Press solid white? I need a decent solid white dress shirt...have a few that need to be put out to pasture.

One of the enjoyments of thrifting is finding past sartorial experiments that didn't quite work. I picked up one of those this past week.

I give you "The Clarney" by Brooks Brothers. Nice fabric, real shell buttons and...attached self-ascot.

The one consignment store here Snooty Fox, if they sold something like that they would make it know it was not authentic. The fact they admitted they knew they sold a fake sucks IMO.
