Does anyone here have knowledge on furs? I see them all the time but there's such a discrepancy on what they go for.... Question sparked by me seeing a scarf made out of 4 minks with heads, paws, and tails still attached. GROSS.

Came through the surgery fine, but now I won't be able to wear good shoes for a while, thankfully I have some Winnetkas about a size too large and a couple gunboats that were far too wide that should work. Dissabled & Dapper.

Thrifted for me by my wife.

Her: "Is $17.50 too much for a Brioni suit?"

    Me: "How many moth holes?"

    Her: "None"

Charcoal Chalk Stripe DB, ventless. Not Ideal, but I'll take it. I have customer that has me on the look out for Italian 42L suits, so he gets dibs.

A few recent finds, some of which are from London. Oxfams were difficult...they knew their stuff and priced accordingly. I grabbed the Charvet below at one for £3.99 though, so it wasn't worthless. The other charity shops were far better on pricing, but I didn't see a huge amount of stuff that I wanted to pack and bring home. I grabbed some MMM pants on the cheap, I'll get photos later.

The markets were fun. Hundreds, if not thousands, of Barbours. They weren't priced for flipping, but fine for personal use. The problem was that every time I asked about one in my size, I always got the "This is a rare size, so..." and it was 20% higher. They probably would have gone down a bit, but I wasn't interested when I can just grab one here, though it would have to be retail. I already have one, so it wasn't priority. I did leave a hand full of things that were bad passes, but that's life.

I wandered into a few sample sales and should have grabbed some stuff. It would have been better if I had found them when they opened, but there were still quite a few leftovers.

Received the good news that TK Maxx will be moving into my area finally! The closest one in Germany was a few hours' drive, so I'll have my very own local shop to hit. I went to a couple in London, had some great stuff (Brioni, MMM, Gucci, etc.)

T&A silk dressing gown. No tags, but silk. Paid up at a market, but I think it was worthwhile.

TK Maxx find. Surprised to see Beams and they were on double clearance.

Again, TK Maxx London. I grabbed about 6 of these because I never see them and they were cheap (to me!).

Pristine Charvet. It was just mentioned how easily these snag in the ebay thread, but I couldn't find a single snag on this guy.

I checked and I have 6 cashmere jackets in my stock. All of them are unvented as well. I think this is fairly common for cashmere.

I've been avoiding mean-mugging it for that very reason.

Still fairly common here on recent stuff. I don't hate them as they look great when you're standing...no flaring of the sides.

Oh, and I'm glad the link I posted about military dating was helpful to some! I saw those posts when I was catching up on everything, but failed to quote them.

Also, the thrift gods have rewarded me handsomely for staying focused and not being tempted to hit the beat these last few weeks. Deets hopefully tomorrow after my last class of the semester and if the sunlight permits.

The results of living in the Thrift thread.

was watching an episode of Modern Family when "spoiler" they celebrated by pouring gatorade on Mitchell.

He started freaking out that it was his "Cuna"

There's also multiple references to Vicuna in Twin Peaks, which my wife and I re-watched last month. Probably wouldn't have caught that a few years ago.

Figured this might be a pop worth sharing. Kiton 14 micron three piece suit (Sorry for bad quality pics) 3 roll 2 with functional cuffs with a very subtle purple windowpane. It's gorgeous imo.

    ^^ WOW! :slayer:

Check out Anthropologie. You should have no issues finding one there. They carry a label called Free People that makes stuff like that.
