A $400 iron? Damn son, more power to you (literally). I just got one of these, which will be cheaper in the long run but I have to deal with a lot of feces being thrown about:

Bonus - they threw in free cat washing as well:

Not really a thrift, but a vintage discount purchase I am quite happy with none the less. Got to go play at the best bike shop I've ever seen, literally a yard+ full of used bikes, vintage and non. Trying to find my girl a commuter bike for school, and she was set on an older Raleigh C-40, but I caught sight of a Raspberry Bianchi Osprey MTB with a lugged frame and rapid fire shifters that was 10$ more. I almost picked it up and had it shipped back home to TN. Thankfully she agreed to go back and take a look at it, and a Cannondale M300. She fell in love with the Bianchi and we managed to pick it up, with a full overhaul, and some steel belted thorn resistant tires for what I thought was a great price, 220$ cleared. Unfortunately no pictures of the bike as it's staying at the shop until the weekend for service, but it is pretty much the bike bellow with a couple of comfort/ commuter mods.

I ran across a really interesting Lanvin Tux today with a Label I havent ever seen before, With Help from Spoo I was informed that it's vintage bespoke, but unfortunately the cost is going to be a bit prohibitive if it doesnt fit. Also found my first morning coat, which I may go back for in the morning.

This city has really odd thrifts.

They're a washed LVC. Can't see much from the photo but I would guess a 1947 model. Cone selvedge, made in Turkey (all non-raw models are to my knowledge).

The inside tag should have the year of the cut (1947 = 47 501). Some of the crazier distressed models have insane retail.

    The tag looks LVC.
The Killing was ok. The Strain is a bit over the top. It's kinda cheesey.

    Yip, LVC.

Is it me, or the T-shirt aisle the saddest place on earth?

I did manage to find a few of those JCrew broken-in tees, which are pretty OK. Grabbed one in yellow, which means I can rock it under a blue oxford in homage to the Peter Berg protagonist of 1989's Shocker.
