Saw those too. Like 30 pair of them. Very good price. Did anyone take advantage of the reebook extra 50% sale price? Picked up two pairs for $70. I am having trouble finding a really good pair of running shoes that don't hurt my heels and do a better job or preventing shin splints. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

@FlorianQC I had actually quite recently found a very similar Polo SC with the same buttons! I'll keep an eye out for it when I go out tomorrow, it may still be around.

Is that the sleeve lining hanging out in the 2nd photo? Either way, some of the older Chaps blazers had very similar, if not the same, buttons - might be easier to find / cheaper to replace with those.

Running shoe selection is tricky if you have "problem feet". I tend to do best in neutral, non-supporting shoes, which is good because that's about 65% of the running shoes on the market. I like the 4mm drop (like the Kinvara) for the road, and these look like they have about the right amount of padding. I've been using Brooks PureConnect shoes for a while, and like them for shorter runs. I find that for anything over 6 miles or so, my feet start to hurt. I love the Hokas for really long runs, but they're too expensive to waste on training runs. I've had the best luck with Sauconys in the past, so hopefully these will work for me! My next race is in 30 days!

For your issue, I'd recommend going to a reputable running shop with knowledgeable salespeople and finding out if they have any suggestions for you. They should be able to look at the shape of your feet and know which brands/models might work for you... Or at least they should be able to!

Yep the sleeves lining is shred... It's an easy fix but of course it will decrease the value of this stuff! I'll keep an eye out for Chaps, thanks!
Those are only very cheap plastic buttons (not even metallic lol)

I once found RL by C&J shell single monk boots and RLPL by Sassetti chestnut jods -- both my size -- at a local Marshalls shoe only outlet that has since closed. They were clearance and $600+ each. Bought, tried to flip, returned, waited, ended up missing out on the jods but getting the shell and wearing them for a couple years for something in the $200 range.

    Jods still haunt me.

I think part of the reason we don't see stuff that level at Marshalls usually is because it usually goes to these shoe-only outlets.

Oh Noob. I miss your posts so much.

    DAMN! Beat me to it.

Hokas are the shit.. I have had many knee surgeries (28 years old). These are the only shoes I have found to allow me to run without knee pains.

I actually tried this on and liked it a lot but decided not to get it as my expense was already getting high and something was off for me I think the sleeves were a bit shorter than I like. I can't believe I missed you by a day. Let's set up something for next week!!!

Found this Kate Spade in a secondhand shop and judging by the strap as well as the interior it is brand spanking new. $165. Should I go back and cop tomorrow?

Great info guys, thanks! Not sure about my feet, I've never had them "diagnosed." I should go to walmart and get on that Dr. Scholls machine. And I definitely don't run as much as you do. Maybe 10-15 miles a week max during the summer, and maybe 6-7 during the rest of the year. Good luck in your race!
