Put it this way, if being afraid prevents you from going somewhere you've always dreamed of, then the terrorists have already won. [IMG] That being said, I probably wont be going to Baghdad anytime soon. :sarcasm:

What are you headed over there for Eazy? Just a exploration adventure, or have an agenda?
-I have family from Baghdad, and some still living there. Its no joke right now, but I would never go.

You should have just done what we did...drink!

I don't think the situation in Egypt has as much to do with terrorists as it does this feud happening over at the Gaza Strip (Depends if you want to classify Hamas as a terrorist organization, a controversial topic that should be left out of this thread). Either way, attacks have ramped up pretty recently and it's probably not the best time to be there, but as you said fuck it. If you want to go, then go and take it as an experience. It'll be one hell of a story to tell when you get old, that's for sure.

That was the morning I had my first beermosa. Really wish I didn't stay up drinking so late the night before.

I seriously was checking Gas Calculator and Orbitz yesterday to see the cheapest/fastest options for Chicago trips.

I think one day thrifting with Eazye we just went out on foot, and had at least one bar stop between every thrift stop. The night ended with Eazye chucking his new balances at a donation bin shouting "I got shell Aldens bitches!"

Sorry, sarcasm doesn't translate well over the interwebs.

And I believe I was still wearing my plastic hard brace after knee surgery. That was a good day, wore those shells today as a matter of fact. :slayer:

We've got a friend who's been living in Cairo for the past decade, but she's moving soon, so we wanted to take the opportunity to see the place while we know someone living there. Keep in mind, this is a blonde hair blue eyed white girl from Wisconsin. Yea, a lot of what you see on the news is bad, but those motherfuckers thrive on reporting the "bad news". I trust this girl with my life, so I'm not too worried. And to put things in perspective, we live in the murder capitol of the United States. In case you guys haven't been watching the news, we had 70 shootings here over the weekend. 70!!!!! And we just hit 200 homicides for the year, and it's only July. So really, what is safe?

edit: I want to say that I really appreciate everybody's concern. We wouldn't be going if we thought that it was too dangerous. We also know our place, and not to act like loud, dip-shit Americans.
