Tonight, with a few hours to myself, I went tie hunting. The Brooks Bros jacket was incidental. The best part about thifting is the price. I got the whole lot for $40.

Paisley isn't usually my style, but the Bugatti tie matches the jacket so nicely that I think I'll keep it. What looks like a bright blue windowpane in the jacket is really a dark green. It's some sort of UV anomaly caused by the digital camera or the type of lighting.

Um. I know where you found that. I tried it on friday morning and I didn't know anything about the brand so I left it. Glad it went to an SF'er.

And if you found it in Manhattan, then there's another one in brooklyn. Oy. Should really have grabbed it.

Seemed Like a cool piece but didn't fit me. I tried to find it a few mins later but I think they were re-sorting it. Besides, couldn't find anything on eBay. Hadn't really seen anyone post about it here either.

Isn't the first mistake I made and it won't be the last.

But yeah, I figured the thing was pretty cool. My mistake was to assume it was made in China.

I think it had fallen through the pricers cracks too.

Anyone recognize this heel? From a pair of Barrie? shoes I found awhile ago.

It's pretty rare to find any on ebay, I've set up a saved search and rarely see anything. I bought a quilted vest from the Rugged Factory line a few years ago from the UK but sadly I'm not a Japanese large and I sold it.

Rugged Museum is Free & Easy magazine's clothing line that is all reproduction type things. Not sold anywhere outside of Japan that I'm aware of. http://www.selectism.com/2009/10/24/tokyo-free-easy-the-rugged-museum/

    Thanks for the info.

And yeah, it was pretty cool. There were pockets everywhere, including the front of the chest. I figured I should have picked it up, but I was trying to convince my friend to buy it but it wasn't really his style.

My mistake was thinking it was from china vs japan. Couldn't find made in tags anywhere, probably because they were in japanese vs everything else being in english. I was going to post about the jacket haha.

I tried it on and it was tiny on me!

Obscure stuff like this is hard, but it's always cool to learn something!

    So it goes.

No kidding, I passed on an In Aisce piece when I first started because I thought it looked dumb.

I think I get lucky with obscure stuff in Chicago just due to lack of competition on that stuff.

Dont think this is an orphan because the buttons are kind of funky.

Not seeing it on my phone screen - anyway, thought I'd toss the link up and see if there was any interest.

Kind of the most expensive pickup.

    Should I go for it?
