I've now gone 3 minutes without picking a Patagonia item. Synthetic fill coat in this case.

Also, Santorelli tie? Seems decently made.

Jdrizzy, great haul. I wish I found that lvc shirt and I'd rock that d&g you left behind.

All I found today was some near mint air ones. I haven't worn air one's in over 20 some years. Don't really wear sneakers anymore but I'm bored and been on bed rest the last week due to some surgery. Won't be fully healed for another 2 months.

Ouch! IDK man, denim and blazer just shouldn't mix. Or rather denim and lapel just shouldn't be mixed...

DAmn, now I'm feeling like a big spender after dropping $80 shipped for a $300 chore coat...

I didn't get it. I was wondering if someone here did. I was going to bid around 60, but before I could enter my bid it shot up to over 100

Long time no post. Had to catch up from March to make sure I didn't miss anything. Everybody's killing it as usual.

I have a couple of goodies. The first is by a Swedish maker called Essge for a Mens store called Holmens Herr. Any of our Scandinavian thrifters heard of it? It is fully canvassed, dual vented and has some hand work with a throat latch and ticket pocket. It also has some unique semi-circle elbow patches.

It's too small for me. Its about a 38 to 40L (26" sleeves) for any tall slim dudes if interested.

Selling my body would take too damn long. My in-laws give us a very generous monetary gift every Christmas. Their idea is to get rid of the inheritance before they die so we don't have to pay capital gains on it. I've never seen a man who hates taxes more than my Father-in-Law.[IMG] Sometimes we use it to travel, or save it, or sometimes we put it into the house. This time, we put it into a newish car. I think next year we're going to try to go to Istanbul. It's pretty awesome being able to do that stuff without touching your income. We're incredibly lucky, and they are more generous than we have any right to.

Fighting this battle must get old, especially when you know you'll never win it. This is going to keep happening. The thread will remain mostly thrift finds and thrift talk, but this stuff is going to be a part of it, is a part of it now. Why waste your breath?

    haha.. yeah but wrong color!

That's awesome… I would love to visit Istanbul, but I only plan to do so after visiting Greece and arriving in Istanbul by boat!

If your father-in-law hates taxes so much (depending on how much he's giving you) he should learn a bit about tax law. It doesn't exactly work the way you described; it's not capital gains and you will often pay less tax by keeping the property until death. That's why Donald Sterling is fighting so hard not to sell the Clippers. Anyway, I know taxes are a bitch and the code is confusing so just a thought.

Awesome. Also took Spoo's lead, and asked them about several other Ralph Lauren tweed items in their store. Picked up another vintage Polo tweed with ticket pocket, and RRL tweed pants and blazer (which I think is a suit but was separately listed).
