I see that label sometimes and think about looking it up...but I don't. Same for Billy London.

Considering we're heading into what is traditionally the "down" season with summer, this thread has just been killing it lately. I haven't thrifted as much the past couple months, as I'd been training for (then running in) my second ever half (new PR, whoot!). I've been keeping up with things here, though, and ya'll have been slaying it.

I'm sorta back in the game, and all of the following finds have dropped in the past week.

My first Hermes in a looooong time!

Some like-new Coach size-zip ankle boots. These things are dope!

A wild selection of LPs ($1 each)

    Two more things, non-brag related...

I found these really sweet vintage Bob Allen camo cargo pants. They actually have turkeys in the camo print. Thought a friend would want them, but he didn't. Please, someone who is 30x31 PM me.

I recently found three (2 full suits and a sport coat) JA pieces that seem really nice. One is this 100% lambswool sport coat and all of them have the super-detailed tag in the pocket. Are they made by anyone special, or just nicer-than-usual for JA?

    Thanks!

If they have the embroidered logo, the fakes are usually pretty crappy in that regard...or the shape & size will be totally off. The one fake Burberry polo I mistakenly bought was pretty much a square with sleeves and a dicey embroidered logo, tagged XL but fit medium at best.
On the other hand, the legit Gucci polos fit quite small vs. the tagged size...at least - the last couple I found were.

    Un-spoilered for sheer awesomeness.

Gaaaaah!!! Why must those pants me a 30?! Seriously! If only I could drop 3 pants sizes. If you don't find a buyer here, those are worth big $$ on the website that shan't be named. Just mention Ducks Unlimited and Maynard Reese in the title.

Nice score on those albums. Vanilla Fudge's first is great. Tarkus is a good listen too. I love ELP, my personal favorite is Brian Salad Surgery.

Oomph. Tubular Bells. That was one of the first vinyl "turn ons" when I worked a record store in high school (Penny Lane in Madison WI). Best job ever - live with parents, work part-time listening to records, and spend all earnings on records instead of drawing a paycheck.

I never leave the big stuff in good condition from half-way decent brands behind. I've never had an issue getting rid of anything. There are many many lurkers / buyers out there for these items!

Lmk how you do with that shirt!

Here is a fake Burberry polo... not a bad replica... guess I should have known with the size tag on the right instead of on the bottom of the Burberry tag.

Man, I feel his pain, it's rare I find a shirt that doesn't fit like a cape (52" chest and a 38" waist)

Some recent finds. Most of them fit!

Don't know anything about Tim Hamilton but the fabric is an awesome 80% wool 20% cotton, and it just looked like a very cool shirt. Mens shirt but the gf claimed it. [IMG]

Doc Martens, made in England, size 11 (UK size I imagine). Just picked them up on a whim.

PRL, made in Italy, 3 roll 2 unconstructed blue blazer.

My favorite find in a long time. Pendleton hunter green, triple patch pocket, hook vent, unconstructed, quarter lined jacket. Fits perfectly!

This is a replacement for the copy I own, as it's a fancy West German printing with a super-slick sleeve and nicer-looking vinyl.

The sad part is that for every LP above, I passed on five better ones due to condition. Saw a lot of cool stuff, but it was trashed, which is pretty much how it goes a lot of the time. It makes the finds that much sweeter.

Dig that Virgin record label designed by Roger Dean. I had a full size poser of it once upon a time. No clue what happened to it but really wish I still had it.

Do you mean a "listening copy"? I have those - multiple copies of the same vinyl, and don't dare listen to the rare / SS / whatever copy - covet that and find some other pressing to listen to. It's a sickness.

    These are me:

Not a bad replica if you're into bad replicas. [IMG] It's just too damn obvious, and they never made a shirt like that, that I'd ever seen. They have a long sleeve all-over Novacheck, otherwise the realsies are pretty demure / subdued and not in your face like that collar.

Well...I learned something ...so guess later I will go back to get the Made in England Burberry polo and check to see if any were ever made in Italy.
