Yes fucking yes. Also kids at wesleyan are really not into classic menswear as much as i am. Mad vintage heads who like eclectic pieces but can't really put together cohesive outfits. I'm glad you're here

I'm too normcore for eclectic. I go hard with adp because literature and magic the gathering. But on a serious note i was on the hunt for some suede chelseas but i dropped the quest since i felt like the black, chunky oxfords fulfill more needs for me. I was actually on indian hill with one of my closest friends today just taking in the 50s weather and it was immaculate.

Anyone care to give a quick and dirty guide to ID'ing hand stitching vs machine? I know to look for non-identical spacing, but anything else?

    Aslan's table?

I used to hang out on top of that thing all the time with friends. We'd bring bottles of wine and 6 packs of beer and go there way after dark.

I know lots of ADP'ers. Still friends with a lot of them even though I wasn't in it.

    Enjoy the grotto :p

I learned to recognize by looking at scarves and pocket squares. The difference there is pretty easy to tell.

On a shirt, the shoulder seams are the easiest place to see.

On suits and jackets, it can be tougher to tell with the pick stitching and button holes. I usually look at the inside of the jacket for easier confirmation.

Button-holes on coats and suits are pretty easy, it seems like. How about on pants? I'm trying to figure out if there's any machine stitching at all in a suit of mine.

Check outside waistband and down the stitch seams near the crotch.

Thought I was in for a quick walk-through. Ended up watching the employees double the suit/sportcoat section, saying "we got a crazy donation and are trying to get it all out tonight. Hope it all fits."

I don't think I've ever needed a cart at a thrift store [IMG]

Edit: Ah, except for one mega haul a couple of years ago. My one taste of glory.

@GM-H i'm assuming you probs went to a Cac school? No one in the general public knows of wesleyan unless they're in with all the liberal arts bullshit and alternative ivy schools haha.

@ridethecliche yea it's so chill we can continue that adp discussion via inbox. It's all kinds of amazing in the spring. Sunsets and sunrises there are the bomb. Also i've never heard of this aslan's table (pretty near the top i'm assuming), also could be the spot where eclectic members sacrificed goats for initiation?
