    Sanforization is a wet process. They specifically state that their denim is raw and not wet processed. Soaking is a given, it would seem.

    They get away with saying that because sanforization happens before the jeans are cut. More on sanforization here: http://www.rawrdenim.com/dictionary/s/sanforization/

    What soaking your jeans is doing is getting rid of some indigo and starch, which will cause you to lose a little bit of contrast down the line. If they shrink at all you most likely won't notice it, and if you do, it will stretch back out to exactly where it was before.
