Right now, chelsea or plain lace ups. Trying to find something that wouldn't be out of place in a formal-ish situation, but could dress up jeans.

And practicing the best lesson I've learned on here, I'm willing to wait. If it takes me a year to find it then I'd rather do that than settle for something that's meh.

Little bit of editorializing: look for really dark brown suede, too. Dark brown suede chukkas or chelseas are cool with jeans, and work well with dressier stuff too. I kinda want a pair on Dainite.

One of the good things about this thread. JAB made in Mexico = Zegna? Had no clue, but catching up on the thread, both you and brianpore come up with them.

That will add a half hour to the suit section.

Don't know about quality on those and I'm willing to hold out for a pair of good goodyear welted (or similar) shoes unless I find something cheap that'll be a place holder. I appreciate paying for quality, especially for shoes.

I'll pass on the last ones.

[IMG]not fighting with you man, but i have seen the first ones in person, and if you are just starting out, and learning the ropes . they are a nice start, (excuse rakuten's poor translating)
saying "Goodyear welted" is a [IMG] quality comes in all price brackets. if you want the best? sell some stuff and buy R.M Williams. or trickers. which you can afford down the track. enjoying your awesome under $100 boots in the mean time.

you want quality???? i will send you some boots for free if you are a size 25.5 jp. (hand made, leather chealsea boots, black, made in japan) you can pay postage.

lol, i still got those seal skin shoes floating around too, somebody trade me before the wife finds them!

    edit: nice fit fishy!

I should post some pictures of awful translations and spellings that I've seen from living in India and trips to Uganda.

And yeah, I have no idea what a JP size that is in US. I'm an 8.5US about. I have small feet!

I have a pair of AE daltons in a lighter brown and some other jodhpur esque boots in a darker brown. So I think I'm good with brown. I can get away with not having black, so I'm okay waiting :)

That reminds me. I need to get rid of a pair of my frye boots in 8.5. I just can't get them to work and it hurts to see them sitting there every day.

And to bring myself back down to earth, I'll slap myself for passing on a pair of kick ass loake's for no other reason than being an idiot and them not fitting me...

In the field. Found this. I'm pretty good at authenticating clothing but am lost on scarves. What say ye? Real? Fake?

Yeah, I'd say if you want to stick to a fairly well-edited wardrobe, another pair of brown boots might be redundant.

    Yeah, this is wrong.

Think of your nice clothes as a way to weed out the girls who think you should be wearing Aeropostale and wont understand when you take a whole afternoon once a month to rub your shoes with flannel diaper.
