Late to the party. The quiz pinned me to San Fran more specifically to San Jose. How accurate is that?!

There are, and have been for a while, I believe, at least 3 OB lines: true bespoke, bespoke couture, which is RTW masquerading as bespoke, and Oz, which is just straight licensed. OB has always been viewed as the nouveau riche of savile row -- which is to say, gauche. -- I know there is a separate threak, but deal with it. Xmas thrift fit. 3 thrift stores today and only 4 things picked up (0 at first, 3 at second, 1 at third). Might have been more if I'd gotten out the door earlier, but so it goes.

    A modest haul:

PRL pennys (sz 9), a handsewn tie by jacobs roberts, and no-name bow tie. I think the JR tie fits a void in my collection.

Oops, forgot the pocket square in the last picture.

I really wanted this orvis suede jacket to work. It was my size and had a throat latch, but the fit was off and it could have been in slightly better condition. Bummer.

Apologies for the devil eyes. I'm apparently pissed it doesn't fit...
Lol, fuck I actually look pretty scary in this one.

It's silk on cotton base, from Kayseri region, these days fakes are coming from Pakistan, Afganhistan on e Bay but this looks genuine. If you did under 200 it's thrift priced.

Wow.. guess I could live anywhere, or not quite fit in anywhere.. depends on how you look at it... Unfortunately, I've not lived in any of the states that show cities. I suppose if you average all the states I've lived in, it might be close...

Thanks for the info! I actually got it at a rather large antique store where it was unpriced (or at least no tag) and the guy had to call someone to get a price. I wondered if he knew what he was pricing. I paid $100 of a $125 ask in the end. Just on eBay I'm seeing anything that looks comparable at no less than $500 (sold) with higher asks. It is very small, if that wasn't clear (~2.5x1.5 ft) but even so. So happy to have found it but I think it will taint my impression of other rugs forever more!

Continuing the derail, you guys finally made me broke down and do it (I often avoid these popular quizzes but...)

Pretty accurate for someone who has basically lived in southwestern Connecticut his whole life. And first try too!
