I suddenly want to pick up golf so I can wear those.

Also those Bally shoes look awesome. What size are they and what is your plan for them?

Nicest bunch of guys ever. Shot some time lapse stuff for them a couple months back. Still kicking myself for not asking about getting their vinylz.

Holy shit. That's awesome. I imagine they'd be chill ass dudes just based on how their music sounds.

Didn't expect you guys to dig as much of my music tastes as you all do. You guys are the best internet friends ever. [IMG]

Haven't thought about this band in forever. Saw Anatomy of Ghost multiple times on random tours, didn't know that PtM was still doing stuff.

That was interesting. It reminds me (dimly) of a Eugene Chadbourne / Camper van Beethoven album I have somewhere in the archives.

    So chill.
Check the new stuff out. This video was actually shot for their record release party. They had the artist INSA come and do one of his incredible gif-iti murals for them, and John, the singer embellished the final frame with some of his artwork. Then we projected the gif on the wall next to the finished mural, so everyone could see what had gone into it. The mural had to be painted 8 times to get the final result seen at the end below.

Speaking of music, just got back from Bear Creek Music Festival. Seriously thinking about living out a van and only going to music festivals for the rest of my life.

Great stuff guys. Can't compete for quality or quantity but have found some good seasonal pickups for myself.

Couple lambswool vests in my size, Paine and Byford

Hickey Freeman Sport, made in Italy wool/cotton. Think it's the first jacket I've thrifted with no need for alterations.

Been needing a good solid white shirt. Harvie & Hudson

This one isn't going on a mannequin till I can try that coffee bean trick. Gent really liked the cologne. Currently stinking freshening up my garage.

Haha, I love it!! :slayer: Jacket is cool but sadly not worth a ton, mainly because it's womens. Woods was based in Canada. They started out in the late 19th century making canvas products like tents and packs. Not sure when they ventured into other fabrics, but I found a jacket and a pair of pants made by them a couple years ago. They were wool and done in the classic red and black buffalo check. Pretty sure mine dated from the 1950's. Your down parka likely dates from the early to mid 80's. They are still in business. Check it out! Their current stuff looks pretty dang cool. http://woodsarctic.ca/product-category/outerwear/

OK, here's my (partial) vinyl request list...

Anything by 13th Floor Elevators (or Roky Erickson)
A Saucer Full of Secrets by P. Floyd
Studio Tan By FZ (a long-ago roommate's dog ate my copy, seriously)
Weasels Ripped My Flesh by FZ
1928 Sessions by Mississippi John Hurt
Tonight's The Night by Neil Young
    Absolutely Live by The Doors
Led Zepplin Two (my copy is thrashed)
Live at Cook County Jail by BB King
Ingredients in a Recipe For Soul (by R. Charles, my copy is thrashed)

Plus a whole bunch more--I could go on all night.

So, if anyone finds ;pristine copies of the above languishing in a thrift store, get at me. Thanks.

I thought I'd contribute to the David Allen Coe talk. This record is a tad unusual.

Yup, 30s or 40s. According to internet wisdom, that's the 1936-1948 tag. I can't make it out completely from that pic, but the bottom left says "Copyright 193x." If x=6 then it can be more specifically dated 1936-38, and if x=9 then it's 1939-48.

    So good.
Figured as much regarding the gender. They have a great history, though! Love finding stuff like this. Thanks for always being quick and willing to share the knowledge, man. All you guys.

I only learned of him in 1995 when I was just a college kid listening to Doug Supernaw.
Edit: I have heard him on Outlaw Country (XM Channel 60) on occasion.
