    I think, when it's of that vintage era (1940s - 1950s) there were a lot of regional/local manufacturers. It was an era of handcraftednedd (if that's a word). So they would have acquired the fabric from a mill and made the coat. Or they would have done what's done now and buy from a manufacturer and slap their label on it. The local gentry would have been quite pleased to have genuine vicuna branded/from the local top-end menswear store.

    hitting up a GW tonight after work. there's two in a 10 mi. radius. hoping to bring home something decent. actually need a bunch of ties for my personal collection.

    gone through about 100 pages of this thread. im already planning my weekend expedition. have about 10-12 thrift stores lined up that im going to hit.

    its nice to live close to greenwich,ct where im sure ill be able to find some fairly quality items.

    This shirt has 20in shoulders and 28in sleeves

    God I hate it when they tie ties and leave it hanging on the rack so it's super wrinkled and it takes days to steam it out.

    Not for flipping, but 20 bucks for T&A shirts, and 70 bucks for Samuelsohn tweed jacket, 110 for Brioni suits are good values in my book.
