I would probably suggest you direct the eBay [IMG] related questions to the proper thread, or we may just start WWIII around here...

-KOP is not an acronym, for myself the word derived from years and years of listening to rap and the likes. Hell I almost use it on a daily basis around my neck of tha woods.

As far as the Bally shoes go, I would recommend if you have a question about something so specific, to take a picture and upload it for our viewing.
But to guess as to why they were so shinny, they could have been patent formal shoes? waxed, corrected grain, bone calf?

Anyone know anything about Beckwith? Nice Camel hair blazer from the 70s I'm guessing, based on the union label.

Sorry for the dickish response earlier....

Leica is the Kiton of camera gear. The M6 is, in many people's opinion, the single greatest camera body ever produced. And Leica lenses are generally considered to be the best available. I'm sure many photographers have had wet dreams involving an M6 and a German supermodel... [IMG]

Here are some more pics of the dresser I grabbed today. The geometric and floral inlays are insane. I can't imagine the time it took to built this thing.

The search for that drawer pull has begun. Wish me luck.

Looks like a 1930s style chest. Biedermeier type inlays. Very nice.

    In other news....

So, I had minor surgery on both of my feet today. I though I was just going to the foot doctor to check out the issue and schedule something a couple weeks from now. WRONG! He walks in with all his tools of torture and 6 shots of novocaine.

"Hold up Doc! I have a golf tournament tomorrow. If we do this now, will I still be able to play?!" I said

"You should be fine, Wes. Just make sure you start on the '19th hole'." he replied.

So, we tee off at 8AM. Whiskey shots at 7:30 AM....Doctors orders. [IMG]

Should be fun....I just hope I don't wind up on top of someones jeep in the middle of a pond this time.

Oh, yeah. Expect a thrift fit in the morning.

[IMG] Looks like I need to get down below the beltway a bit more often than twice a year!
+1 In other news, I have been seriously bummed for the past two months since I have been unable to locate my vintage B&L Tortoise Wayfarers.. I LOVED those shades. I was packing for a trip this evening and pulled out a suit for an event that I'll be attending and there they were, still in their RayBan hard case, tucked into the coat's inner breast pocket!
