I'm doing thrifting in manhattan the way my wife wants to. Saks, Bergdorf, macys. FAO Schwartz. First time I've ever seen an Edward Green shoe. Or a Kiton suit.

You could spend a bunch of money here if you weren't careful.

Found this RLPL jacket at the outlets for $375. It was 50% off the already discounted tagged price, plus another 50% off that price. I'm thinking retail is $3,500+ based on other coats I've seen at RL stores. Fits like a glove. :slayer:

They had a 100% cashmere Kiton suit in navy blue that was around $2500 (before tax) with the sale. Easily the nicest item I've seen at an outlet. Marked down from $7k.

L to R: Zegna, TF, TF, Drakes grenadine

Picked up an interesting piece. Seems to be a fairly old 3-piece custom-made Alexandre from England. I've only seen Alexandre after they started making items elsewhere (Egypt, etc...). Surprised by the high quality. Unusual pockets. Throat latch. Too small for me, and the heavy fabric doesn't deserve to live in the Southwest.. :)

About a 38L with what is labelled as a 35 waist. Any guesses on the age from the label?

Sorry for the lack of a spoiler, but the button isn't showing up for me right now. Anyone know the HTML tags to put on for a spoiler (manually)?

3"+ is really pushing what a tailor can do, I believe. 1.5" is usually the practical maximum, especially for a patterned fabric. Gorgeous trou though! Nice find.

Just found a slew of brioni, Kiton, sulka, Zegna, canali sport coats. They are all priced a little under 20.00. There are so many that I have to pass some up. They are all in good shape, some are 100% cashmere. I'm trying to decide if I should just buy them all. I think the color tag that they are might go on sale tomorrow. What do you guys think? Should I try to be greedy and wait or just cop??

Only thing of note for me this weekend was this J Crew Ludlow Navy Cotton Blazer. It's 36 S. It's funny because at the store I found it at I passed a handful of J Crew shirts in XL but last night, at another location I was hitting J Crew shirts in XS. Maybe it was part of a donation that got separated.

Went back and got the Altea tie. They has re-racked it but with the jackets (I had tied it around the hanger). Jackets were long gone, which is a shame, but T was the tie I really liked, so WIN.

Of course its not a slew of kit on and brioni, but...

And these Sulka ties. Can anybody tell me about this label? I picked them up because I remembered hearing on here that they're at least semi desirable.

Is Altea flippable? I didn't think so - I passed on 2 today. Nice, thick babies with wild patterns.

    Oh God....

I'd pass on Canali, Zegna and Sulka if they are unvented, dated, etc. Brioni and Kiton and are definite buys. Even if dated they will sell well. Just buy them. You will be kicking yourself if you don't.
