Oh. My. God. I'd kill for that. In fact, where do you live? Imma make you an offer you can't refuse... :D
'30s or '40s; I'm leaning towards the early end of that range because of the lapel shape, but I could be wrong.
What do you need verified/dated? Looks legit to me. I don't see a union tag pictured, but manufacturer tags with dates like that are always way more reliable and precise, anyway. Good find.
[/quote]:bounce2: Wow, those are practically new! Awesome find. Are they shell?
I'm no expert, but the tag on those looks a lot like the one on the RLPL cargo pants I found a few months ago that everyone here said were fake.

+1. That thing makes me want to move to a colder climate. The weather in the south basically stifles the wearing of suits/blazers minus 5 months of the year (if that).

The soles had some wear, I have no idea how the insole stayed so pristine looking - that part of the shoe looks new. And no, they were not shell.

I asked this a while back but I finally came back up to it in the closet and I still have no idea what this is. I picked it up from Goodwill while browsing the Womens outwear section for mens stuff because it just looked beautiful. If anyone has any information on this brand I'd appreciate a link or anything. It says Made in Italy behind the buttons.

Deep Red Womens Blazer by St Sophia Paris (Made in Italy)

I don't want to start posting teak/furniture finds 'cause that'll clutter up the thread like crazy, but I find it weird that Frenchy found this a couple of days ago:

And I found this--the exact same set with the leaf in--last week. I think a steal at $45.

Anyone been in Manchester's many thrift shops? I am moving there in a couple of weeks, and wondering if it is worth the trip to the thrift shops.

Is the size 7 B or 7 E. it looks like B and I think that's for womens sizing. I just never saw it by mens.

Does the AE Cambridge only come in shell cordovan? I found a pair today and I was looking them up to see if I actually should have bought them and I can't find a regular leather version. The number on the inside wall matches the shell model number for cordovan #8 as given on this AAAC thread.

Excellent find! As far as I know they only came in Shell or Suede, unless you special order them in calfskin or some exotic material.

As said before, be careful with their list, there are a few calfskin shoes on it. I have a more complete list somewhere. I will see if I can dig it up.

nice, thanks. after hearing so much about shell i guess i just expected it to be like 2 inches thick and bulletproof, so I didn't know what i had.

Allen Edmonds Shell (at least the #8) is a little thinner than most you will run across. Nice and supple. The black tends to be a little thicker.

    AE Cambridge is shell.
The calf version is called Macalister.
