Nothing too brag worthy these last few weeks except the Drakes I found the other day and the Mainetti hanger I found the day after posting about how I want more. and this PRL tie that I thought was cool. I've been passing on loads of ties that were old/unwearable patterns.

Dude you should be posting in the StyleZeitgeist thrift thread.

    Except they don't have one.

And you'd probably be the only poster.

    ....

    PICS PLEASE!

Not sure exactly how much of a "find" this is but I, like much of this forum, like the vintage American workwear aesthetic. I have no clue if this is actually vintage though. I know that Urban Outfitters sell this particular brand as part of their Urban Renewal line but that's about it. This one appears to be original. The fabric of this shirt is super cool and it fits me perfectly. Just thought I'd share.

Seven years of checking the sleepwear sections in thrift stores and this is the first item I've found. I knew the name, as someone on SF once referred to them as the "Rolls Royce" of robes and dressing gowns. This one's cotton rather than cashmere, but still the nicest dressing gown I've ever seen. Daniel A Hanson.

^ Awesome robe, and they are nice. Sadly the one I had didnt do so well and ended at about $50 or so, but it was a killer robe.

Also, the sleepwear section always smells the pissiest.

Take a deep breath in suits, hold your nose. Move into sleepwear quickly checking each item while touching only the hangers.

    Woman: Do you drink beer?
    Man: Yes
    Woman:How many beers a day?
    Man: Usually about 3
Woman: How much do you pay per beer?
Man: $5.00 which includes a tip.
(This is where it gets scary)
Woman: And how long have you been drinking?
Man: About 20 years, I suppose
Woman: So a beer costs $5 and you have 3 beers a day which puts your spending each month at $450. In one year, it would be approximately $5400 .correct?
    Man: Correct
Woman: If in 1 year you spend $5400, not accounting for inflation, the past
20 years puts your spending at $108,000, correct?
    Man: Correct
Woman: Do you know that if you didn't drink so much beer, that money could have been put in a step-up interest savings account and after accounting for compound interest for the past 20 years, you could have now bought a Ferrari?
    Man: Do you drink beer?
    Woman: No
    Man: Where's your Ferrari?

That was my gut reaction, but google/styleforum points to GRILUX S.p.A being associated with them and not the manuf. Could be totally off though....[IMG]
    Quoting : A Harris

Grilux Spa is another name for/is owned by/is in close association with Barbera (I don't know the exact relationship) and you'll find it printed on almost all Barbera labels going backat least 15 years. It has nothing to do with the maker

It should be noted that all this is fairly irrelevant in terms of the actual quality of the coats and suits. The Barbera Sartoriale line has always been of the highest quality (imo the Partenopea jackets are probably the lowest quality in the history of the label which is saying something, as they are very very nice.) My opinion - Barbera is underrated in terms of construction quality, and their styling and fabric selection is the best in the industry. It would be a mistake to think of a Barbera garment as being only as good as the shop that tailored it. It is much more. Probably the only major reason to differentiate between the makers is that the cut has varied somewhat, as is to be expected.

I also did a quick Google on Grilux when I saw the tag but it seems like it's owned by LB or the other way around, wouldn't be the manufacturer I don't believe.
