Well, I have two - one that is nice, and another with spotted cuffs and soon to be button-less - you are welcome to the latter! (I have not tried anything on the cuffs, so, who knows - but they do look stained, not just spotted).

I may have only been in Texas 15 years, but I really like that thing. I see a LOT of umm.... unique westernwear at my thrifts.

Not exactly finer menswear, but I find and sell the shit out of Cinch, Bit & Bridle, Lucchese and Ariat. Here, deep in the heart of...

Another super-slow work day, self-imposed unpaid time off the rest of this week (tho 7/4 is a paid holiday at least) - figured I'd try to make the best of it by not sitting here and not get paid for it, and instead see if I can find some flippage and a few things for myself: All from one Value Village and two GW's.

Prada shirt, been verified dot com.

Vintage JCP holiday sweater, 100% acrylic - these things sell like mad come winter.

Not familiar with this brand - "Braemar" made in Scotland for 'somebody' "Forsythe", 100% cashmere sweater:

Don't know yet if "Yamato" is anyone - made in Japan - not Yamamoto obv. I still feel like a tool using the eBay app on my new phone in-store, but I have to in order to stop buying stuff and wondering if it's something (or not as it turns out in most cases):

BB for me - I know BB Country Club but have never seen a cotton/cashmere blend from them before. Gonna feel nice this winter:

NWT vineyard vines. Just noticed the small hole by the whale - d'oh...

First for me - CDG x Fred Perry. I flipped 3 or 4 shirts past it then went back - like - what was that again? Can barely even see the CDG under the bingo dauber paint spot.

Another one I bought with no idea. "Coast", made in Italy. Seems neat, fits me if it's junk.

"Brooks Stretch" suit - never picked one up before, might be garbage.

Samuelsohn suit (forgot to include the pants), Loro Piana, older.

Ladies Theory jacket. Dang - just found a white spot on the front - prob. bleach. Goes back to VV.

First time I have seen anything from Robert Talbott that was not a shirt or tie - this men's jacket, working cuffs.

Wes might appreciate this one. Orvis x Harris Tweed. Patch elbows. Knot buttons. Throat latch. The works. First Harris Tweed I have bought in months because the vast majority have no size tags, and the rest have holes, neither of which I want to fiddle with.

Another Orvis - more leather detailing / patches etc. Nice.

AE Newport tassel loafers. Probably bring them back to VV as well - that hole doesn't make the purchase price worth it. Only bought 2 things at VV and looks like both are going back...

Finally, this LL Bean sled. Why? Why not?! Looks unused - few light scuffs from being moved around is all. Destined for craigslist on Dec 1st.

One GW had some vintage-ish (early 1980's) Bose 301 series ii speakers I might go back for - at $100 they are very steep for a GW but the current plastic ones sound like crap and I am a speaker junkie.

TLnoob, You mentioned before you leave behind Harris Tweeds if they don't have a size tag. Any particular reason? I ask, because a bespoke jacket made of Harris Tweed wouldn't have a size tag since it is not an OTR item. Size tags can't be trusted anyway.

I've had a couple bad experiences with them on eBay - even with tagged items where I state the tagged size as well as provide accurate measurements. And I like to think I am good at measuring - my first real paid job was as a hand-tailor, shortening / lengthening pants, turning LS shirts into SS shirts, etc, all by hand, with real pick-stitching taught to me by a cranky old Syrian guy. Plus I had such a glut of them last year that I never even bothered to measure & post and ended up re-donating...I just need to get my act together!
Now, that Orvis x Harris was a definite pick-up - no size tag but I could not go home without it.

Didn't have much time today, but did make it to one store...

So I've been looking for a new tuxedo for almost a year now. I finally found this 1964 George Mashbitz, Chicago bespoke today. Not much to be found about the firm, but I did find a German article from Der Spiegel on Hugh Hefner, where the author recounts watching Hefner purchase an airplane and $15,000 worth of George Mashbitz bespoke Edwardian influenced suits--that's over $100,000 today. The suit is incredibly well made--better than some of the suits I've found from the Row.

This thing fits damn near perfectly. Thrift fit to ensue. :slayer:

(It even has a built-in cummerbund)
