That collar style is called "mandarin style". How's the quality? The label looks really off to me.

My local Marshalls had a pile of those ties, marked at what they considered to be 1/2 off original retail (but not yet clearance priced)...given that those are something I would buy to flip, I passed, since 1/2 off means I have to mark them back up to full price to make anything worthwhile on them. On the other hand, Marshalls is very often wrong on their "compare to" retail full price, and maybe I should have bought them and returned if it wasn't worthwhile. (Got a smart phone delivered today - no waffling in the future for me - I will have INFORMATION at my fingertips!)

That's a Mandarin collar aka a Nehru Collar. You may have seen it in Jet Li's Fist of Legend. I had a jacket like that once. It was pretty cool but I've since out grown it.

For some reason, maybe it's my love of logic puzzles or my eye for detail, but I'd love to pair all of that stuff up. I dare say it'd be fun.

The term you're looking for is 'counterfeit.'

Sorry dude, pretty cool jacket otherwise.

Ya, the EA eagle is not suppose to be on Armani's mainline. I've yet to see one of his men's jackets with the Mandarin collar. Just in case, are there any other tags on there?

No other tags. Just that main label. If it is fake, I suppose I won't have any pains into turning it into something else.. :)

Thanks for the info on the style guys!

Appreciate the comments regarding the likely counterfeit nature of this jacket, but what do you think of the metal/enamel buttons? There are 5 main buttons, and 3 smaller on each sleeve.

I saw nearly identical buttons on ebay and the price shocked me. Is this guy insane or is there really a market for buttons?

    http://www.ebay.com/itm/GIORGIO-ARMANI-METAL-ENAMEL-8-BLAZER-JACKET-BUTTON-SET-/380327855588

    Thanks!

There's always a possibility that he harvested the from a counterfeit jacket just like yours and are selling them as authentic buttons...Juss say'n...But if you were to find them on a real jacket or maybe pics of real Armani buttons then it'll be score!

You guys are all killing it as usual.

I picked up a really nice suede bomber made from a local sheepskin garment company, wasn't really happy with the original buttons (first picture) so replaced them with some more subtle wooden buttons.

Close but no. Master-coat is another italian brand. Not sure on desirability but I'm always eyeing their stuff on yoox.

Whoa. I missed a lot today. I was pretty proud of my finds until I just read the last two pages. I figured finding $8000 worth of NWT BB suits and SCs would win the day....but then Eddie had to do $10k. Geez.

Even though the original is in mono, I really love Live from the Hungry i. Hate that never got the chance to see them live.
