It's really out of control, this is just a small sampling, not including all the winter coats and tweeds and random other stuff I have stashed around the house.

I think I forgot to post this gem too. Vintage Barney's summer weight db I got from TDP last year, found the MOP's over the winter and finally had the sleeves shortened. Pretty much the perfect spring/summer coat. :slayer:

Is ALL Etro an instakop? I think it was a small. Barrel cuffs with mitered ends. MOP, of course. I'm not going to wear it so I left it.

Yes. And sold it to Japanese businessmen. By post.

Years later, I'd like to sell them these dusty authentic USA America Wrangler shirts I find -- but how!

Oh dear. Why do I mention these things.

It was just a friend/co-worker of mine in college -- hot, smart --hotly smart -- practical, liberated -- who let it slip one day that not only did she work for a non-prostitute-y, but still very dubious, 'massage parlor' when she was in college, but that she quit when it became known that her boss was secretly taping his workers and then selling the tapes. On VHS. And not only selling the tapes, but selling them overseas, to a mysterious consortium of Japanese businessmen. I think about this every time someone sells one of those dirty cowboy shirts for zillions of dollars, which I find equally weird.

Ahhh, so did she take any legal actions against her boss or collect any damages? Anyhow, can I get a copy of the VHS? Ahhh dammit! That means I have to thrift a VHS player...

Man, I might just try my hand at Etsy and see what I can get out of it. I think my wife has an account as I think she sold some of her sewing creations on there awhile back.
Hmm, must have been a different pair as the pair I found in the spring. Was the foam surrounds on the pair you saw bad too? If not, they're well worth grabbing.
Nice find! I love the duck hunter/beo gam camo pattern! Glad to see it's kind of found a cult following and some labels are producing it again. Never heard of the maker. Was likely one of many small off-the-wall commerical makers of the Vietnam war era who made their stuff in Japan. This pattern was was adapted by the US soon after they found out their plain OD green fatigues weren't cutting it in the combat styles that came about during the era. Tiger stripe was used as well, but many had family back home here in the states buy this stuff from the sporting goods stores and ship it to them in Nam.
    +1. That suit is awesome!
