If anyone's interested in watching something go sky high, check out this auction for a 1940s motorcycle jacket by Leathertogs of Everrett, MA.

    http://www.ebay.ca/itm/RARE-VINTAGE...item3a80dda773&vxp=mtr&_uhb=1#ht_13564wt_1167

It's at $1700 and change with a day to go. Kind of the leather jacket equivalent to original Levis pulled out of a mine in Colorado.

Sadly, this was research for the one I found today. It won't go anywhere near this level.

New dudes: We appreciate your enthusiasm. We also appreciate those who use Spoilers. Carry on. 1 stop today, and even that got me in hot water. But it was worth it. Ignore the picture quality; My Betamax Blackberry seems to focus perfectly on things roughly 3 feet away, but terribly on everything else. Suit and tie. Ho hum [IMG]
[IMG] Unless mine eyes deceive me, that's Brioni. And the "Made in Italy" label is right, too. Dual vent, flat front, hacking pockets. I'd say recent except the wool/mohair blend is like sandpaper, the leg opening is large, and the sleeves have 2 wide-spread buttons. So I'm guessing older. But it gets better: Pointed out a couple of holes in the leg to the cashier and she was nice enough to make it basically free. :slayer: Even BETTER: It fits me like. a. glove.
Here are shots of the Trickers that I never properly bragged about a while back: [IMG]
And pics of the Gianni label from the other day. Is this Campagna? [IMG][IMG]

Today yielded a purple and grey Lanvin tie (made in France, unsure if this is the "Good Lanvin" or not, it has a silver sailboat logo on the back tip), a cashmere bottle green Banana Republic v-neck sweater, and a no name 3 roll 2 dark grey-olive with rust windowpane sports jacket, and a white with blue hash marks Canali shirt which aren't pictured (unless requested)

    a grey Brioni shirt

Also, anyone have any information on a company called Cesarani? I picked up a made in Italy grey pick and pick 3 roll 2 suit today made by them/him/her/whoever that has pick stitching out the ass and seemed incredibly nice, far nicer than anything else on the rack.

My bad, I actually spoilered the whole thing except the last sentence and it didn't work... I will use preview from now on before submitting. That irritates me as well to see an emoticon after quoting an entire page. I went back and fixed my post as well.

[IMG] As Brian said, how small?...

Nice stuff! I just found one like this at the local Marshalls, in the same pattern but different color scheme; picked it up for myself, it feels pretty nice.

I have returned after a two-week thrifting hiatus

For me. A badass Kuhlman sportcoart.

And for a 44-46 R (I think), a completely awesome Oxxford dinner jacket.

    Hi

New here and was looking for a bit of advice. I have always wanted a canali suit and managed to pick one up in like new condition for £40/$60

It is not my size but figured I could get altered. I am taking it tomorrow to a shop to check out how much it will cost but basically I need the trousers taken up by an inch and 2 inches at waist, and need sleeves, jacket length and sides taken in.

I know it won't be cheap but wondered at what point would you guys say the cost of alterations would out weigh just selling it on and trying to get something needing less alterations?

    Thanks
