Fishy went thrifting again! Pictures in a few hours, but first a list of the things that didn't make the cut:

Orphaned Gieves and Hawkes (bespoke, not OTR) double breasted jacket... fit me perfectly, but it was gray and pinstriped... nothing to wear with it :/

An absolutely sick suit valet.I left the G&H jacket on it, better there than being squished between "Giorgio Baroni" suits (No, I'm not making that up, they even used the same font as Armani rofl.) I figured it was a more dignified place for something that special.

Zenga for Wilkes Bashford with MOP buttons... worn cuffs, nothing I could do :/

About six harris tweeds, all with different holes and stains

    Ensuyco coat (made in spain)

SFA herringbone topcoat, holes in the lining...

I only left with two things...

    (Available)
A Turnbull and Asser sportcoat (they make sportcoats???) in 42L, made for Bergdorf Goodman! Entirely made in England with sick brass buttons :)

    (MINEEEEE! :D)
An old school letterman jacket from the Hard Rock Cafe in Honolulu, made in USA, suede collar and sleeves, quilted lining, made in USA

Nor-cal expressions: "OMG", "Like", and "Hella". It's like you saying "Yo", “Aaaaay! Ooooh!”, and "Friggin' Giants" from Jersey. Well, kinda...Not really? [IMG]

I kind of like the idea of wearing grey pinstripe orphans with white/off white chinos and brown shoes. What do you guys think?

Is this the Armani I am looking for?

Shawl Collar Tuxedo, Labeled 46. Pants are roughly on the small side of 34.
Covered in chocolate and white stuff on the silk lapels. I don't want to know what the white stuff is.

It's raining varying qualities of Armani shawl collar tuxes! Hide your prom dates!

But seriously, re spoo on a thread I found yesterday:

Versace Classic V2 stopped being made in 2001 or so, quality was OK, but not great (pic1) Versace Classic (the incarnation you posted in pic 2) was from '02-'07, quality declined a bit, nothing great Istante (not pictured) stopped production in the late 90's, anything from that line is horribly dated now Versus (not pictured) fused, no hand work, just a "fashion suit" good visual impact but not the quality aspect Versace Couture (black and white label as you pictured in the last 2 pics) these incarnations are from 93-03 and were the best quality there was, but still not handmade or comparable to the best around Versace Couture (recent labels, unpictured) are made by Zegna to couture standards, avg. retail on those suits are $3K and up. If you want a hierarchal list, start from the bottom to the top and thats the order from best to worst. If you do a search, I have also once replied to a thread which had all the labels so you could see this as well.

Sooo is it made by Zegna like this one?

Found my first Hermes in months and also my favorite of the 4 I've come across. In mint condition, turtle whimsical. It doesn't get much better than this. :slayer: N/A

And now time to play everybody's favorite game, GUESS THE MAKER. The stamp on the insole looks like STEEN or STEER, Made in England since 1873. Side stamp says Made In England with a US size 10.5 D and also a date of DEC 99. There is also a stamp that says Ambassador Collection, Leather Upper, Leather Sole, and a crest with the letter S flanked by 2 lions. They seem to be of superior quality but I'm refraining from full pics until I get them cleaned up.

Giorgio Armani Classico. It's one of their discontinued line. Pretty money IMO. Good stuff!

Nice finds! I was literally in the middle of telling my wife that I was annoyed that I'd never found an Hermés tie and as I'm explaining that I'm bidding on them (end in two hours!), I see yours! I love that pattern, well done!

Kind words, but I'm sure anyone would have done the same. It was like watching your sweet grandmother fall.

I am annoyed when I see intolerance to old people and the mentally disabled. I get upset when I see older people forced to stand on the bus or tram when there are clearly marked seats for them that are occupied by able bodied people. I've been known to be fairly rude when I tell 12 year olds that they should stand up and offer the 95 year old woman a seat as she's hanging on for dear life at every turn

If it don't, get at me bro!

Wow! Not sure on maker, but dated 1940 it should bring a few bucks on Ebay if it's in good condition. The folks at the Fedora Lounge are helpful for identifying vintage stuff.

They don't seem to be, about standard for a 16.5, something close to 23/24 p2p. I have not measured them all, but I imagine they were all from the same donor so they should be pretty close.

That moment when you realize that the seemingly in good condition Brooks Brothers merino v-neck sweater has a quarter-size hole. So not worth the $4.

I found the aforementioned Brooks Brothers sweater and a Zegna shirt. The shirt fit like a tent, despite being a medium. Fake?

Thanks, always been my problem, big neck, short arms, medium build. If I get a 16 ½ regular fit, it fits like a tent and the sleeves are 2 inches too long.
