Damn, that Power, Corruption & Lies vinyl! That record has both my favorite and least favorite New Order songs on it. Nice score.

Very sorry I didn't get to participate in the last scavenger hunt, wasn't back to the usual schedule yet. But found some cool stuff this evening.

Anybody knows if Zurich has any good place to thrift? I will be visiting Switzerland in a couple of weeks.

Also, Cyprus? Does anybody know if there are respectable thrift stores there?

I think most people know the Ralph to look for here, but I just came across one of the best collector Instagrams I've seen and would highly recommend checking it out.

Thanks @Thrift Vader and everyone for all the good wishes! Really overwhelmed by all the love!

Back to our regularly scheduled programming:

Some proper Massimo Osti-era early-90s UK football hooligan business with the OG CP company tag. Unlined wool pea coat. Unfortunately missing the badge and in rough condition but I'm not complaining. I like to think that someone wore this as terrace-wear for away-days on the continent and wound up in at least one scrap with a rival firm.

Also, some shoes to come. Turns out I only had to wait about ~4 years and not the requisite 15 to find Alden in Southern Ontario. [IMG]

So behind on my pictures. I've been spending most of my free time these past few weeks applying for jobs. I took a label pic of all the indigo I've found recently. That Shuttle Notes is something else holy shit.

Also, I made another wallet if anyone cares. Made from Horween Essex in tropical blue. Maybe I should just quit my job and sell these.

I wasn't that into thrifting when I visited Cyprus, but from what I saw, thrift stores are not really a thing. OTOH, if you have time, look around. Maybe folks on vacay from Europe or the middle east are dumping their glamour brands somewhere. There are probably more fun things to do there, though! :D

Ayy nice to see another leatherworker on here displaying their wares. What weight of leather/material was this and what size/type thread? Are you using a stitching chisel or just freehanding with an awl? What's your edge burnishing/treatment process?

    This is my latest prototype:

Leather's nothing special, just 2/3oz veg tan. Haven't worked with it before so this is just the first 6 slot billfold I popped out. Thread is just standard dry linen thread, unwaxed. I wax it at home by hand with beeswax. Going to carry this prototype for awhile and if it holds up then going to send out for templates, invest in better materials/tools, then go into production.

Hard to tell anything from the pics other than it's a women's coat and more than a few years old if there's no year on the tag
