Oh right on, with better pics it seems right. I've never seen the tag attached on only 1 side like that, typically its sewn along the top edge. Also, the tag is normally placed behind the top left side on their 90cm silk carre. I think what mostly threw me is that the HERMES font looks so weird, and isn't perfectly centered. Edges of that also appeared fuzzy.

Really trying to nail down finite authentication details with these but they seem to change every few years.

There are some dress shoes that make it. Honestly, I'm as surprised as anyone. But if I ever wanted to get serious about this as a business, I need to learn about sneakers. For whatever reason those show up here in decent shape and there's way more options.

Quoting myself to try and find some guidance. All the normal guides I can find online about dating these jackets seem to leave me empty-handed on timeframe of production and whether or not this is a desirable version. Anyone mind shedding some light?

Also, picked this up yesterday as it seems decently made. Also not much info on the brand and I've never heard of it before.

    ^ levi's jacket is not a thing.

you want big E type 3 or earlier (and even the Big E type 3s are really not worth a whole lot), or you want some spectacular fade or patch or embroidery, etc. if you find legit outlaw stuff that is another story entirely.

for yours, i'd say mid 90s... they didn't add the hand warmer pockets until the 80s (which suck imo, the only good version with hand warmers is the Filson collab). i love levi's but the type 3 is not a great jacket to begin with (really it's a ripoff of the Lee storm rider).

i've seen made in europe versions of levis (and canada) on occasion. i suspect the deal was that there were import restrictions or tariffs or something where they were obliged to manufacture in those countries.

they do make leather stuff in italy, including the type 3. i would always pick those up.

    hope that helps.

Anyone here have any idea how I can get in this business? Enough material to ship double digit containers a week.

Cool find! Their London address is Savile Row. Found a piece from their London shop a while back from the 60's, IIRC.

Correct me if im wrong but the value in sneakers is usually held only when they are practically never worn?

I'm going to get a few pieces. Maybe double up in the event they rise in value, again.

I think a lot about why one seller is able to get top $ for their offerings, while another seller gets significantly less for exactly the same thing in exactly the same condition. I understand it's a combination of factors (type of listing, seller's rating and rep, key words used, description, quality of pics, timing in the market, luck). I figured I should focus on learning more about those things I can control to maximize potential. Making something look as good as possible is a bit of an investment, but it seems like it would be worth it.
