so ... it would be great if you guys chose not to drive up the price of Linda's squares.

    please.

I've got my bidding fingers trained on the lot of two with a tie.

    please.

Speaking of Linda: Did anyone here win her " Kiton Beige Wool Long Sleeve Loose Fit Button Front Dress Blazer:? (ended yesterday)

These were 2 of the pictures, but it was not mentioned at all in the listing: (and yes, they were upside down on her listing)

Think I may have already put in a $31 bid but all yours/I won't bid again. Hoping I don't get outbid on that lot of five.

I've been hoping to thrift Rosetta Stones German courses, but this should be worth a shot...

I'm in Houston and this is the only "Tom Ford" I ever found at a thrift. The styling caught my eye but the quality gave it away.... as fake....

Wrong thread (also posted in the thrift buy/sell/trade), but if anyone has a pair of Doc Martens or monkey/lace to toe boots in a US9/UK8/EU42 they're hanging onto, let me know! Oxblood would be gnarly, but any normal color would probably do. I've been looking for a pair for a minute with no luck.

    For reference:

Are these Cheaney or Church's? Also, am I correct in reading the size as 41 (they fit like 8.5)

If anyone in Atlanta wants a Gustin chore coat size large, left it at the Buckhead Goodwill

Ha! Your story sounds like an absolute nightmare. I suppose it's good that the manager dealt with it, but that's still an awful way to wake up in the middle of the night.

I kept going on the plaster until I hit areas that would hold. Most just fell off by looking at it the wrong way. I had expected that, but still dreaded it. This house is old, but I'm not sure exactly how old. I missed an auction for a lithograph from 1864 that had my house, but I haven't been able to find out about it. I know it was a leather workshop in the early 1900s.

There aren't many 90 degree corners or straight walls. I'll begin drilling a small hole and end up with a crater. I hit stones regularly, occasionally wood will be in the wall as well. I cut through bathroom tile for a new outlet and pulled out what I thought was wood. I realized it was straw and found out that that it was common to use straw to hold plaster until the 1920s. The entire wall has straw behind it. I've found one or two more like it. It's interesting, but can be difficult getting the right information from construction guys unless they work on old homes.

Projects are never ending, so if I see something crazy, I'll take some shots of it.

That would be impossible for me to leave, unless they special priced it or it was shredded.
