Did you get any details on the jacket from the seller? Who was selling a $10,000 vicuña jacket two weeks after purchase?

Dude how pissed would you be if I found Vicuna in Greenville? I'd have to give you a percentage as a tithe for all the help over the last few months

Nah I'm stickin it out. Lost power about 2 hours ago so I'm not gonna kill my battery researching the painting right now. The painting doesn't strike me as very old, though, since there doesn't appear to be too much age on the stretcher.

Berlioz was an interesting composer btw. He started experimenting with drugs and wrote some really fantastic pieces.

Not trying to be a downer but I think with a $10k price tag I would guess it's a fairly low percentage of vincuna. Still a baller jacket don't get me wrong.
YSL Rive Gauche Ethrift came, perfect fit.'way cooler than I was expecting. Asymmetrical zip and had moto style zippers in sleeves. Keeper

Stretcher no but the canvass is pretty dark in back.
And the stretcher is securely home made.
I think Double00 is right it's from the cubism era so around 1900 nut before WW1 and that's the hood where cubism started according to Wiki.
I may be on to something.
    Maybe .

honesty it looks a lot like the style of Maurice Utrillo (a Montmartre native and contemporary with cubists but perhaps not altogether cubism). google some of his images you'll see what i mean (i often see utrillo prints fwiw)

so one thought is that it could be 'after Utrillo' or some such. the problem with that is that the house was demolished during wwi, so if it is a newer work based on an older work what is the original?

so i'm not trying to say one way or the other, but that's how i start to think about this kind of research. good luck!

Long time with no posts. I had a pretty good day. Stopped at a place I rarely go to and had some luck. Meat and potatoes first then some interesting things. (most things available though being sent off to @Snoogz very soon)
