love it when you guys post detailed shots of your finds

that's really what i love most about thrifting; being able to see the details you can't see unless you have the item in your hand

there's so much to look at in a nicely constructed garment

    -

    side note

GW in southern california has gone completely bonkers in their pricing over the past 2 or 3 years. it used to be that only every now and then you'd find something with a marked up price tag on it.

now even going through the long sleeve rack, maybe 75% of shirts are marked up by $2-$6 on top of the standard price. i see alfani and other abundant generic crap marked up all the time. bb and polo are almost never worth picking up anymore. it's absurd. maybe it's because they have a $1 sale eventually on them now? used to pick up zegna shirts all the time but i'm finding myself leaving them too. i don't lknow. i just don't like it ;(

Ok rough Wednesday, what's the "cleaning method" for coffee stains?

to add to this, wine stains that aren't fresh? something other than soaking it in oxy-clean?

It's off with the Rolex somewhere.

Hoooooooly cow. Those aren't like a 42, are they?

Try Carbona Stain Devils for both. They have different formulas that are tailored specifically to different kinds of stains, but there's one that works on both wine and coffee.

Haven't done one of these in a while, so thrift fit, thrift being a liberal definition. It went from "kind of fall" to "without a doubt fall" from Sunday to Monday of this week. Scarf is from Linda. I don't often take gambles with her stuff, but I did on this and it turned out fine. It's a 65/35 cashmere/silk Ferragamo. Love it.

    Went Spoo-style:

I know I owe a thrift post one of these days but thought I would toss this one up...well...I figured someone here would be into it.

Phone and shitty lighting fucked with the color, it's vibrant, totally mint, huge and from the 1960s. Handrolled and even still has original tag attached. Apparently quite the collectors item, according to asking prices across the internet.

Oh and don't worry, it's in my response, thus waiting in your inbox.....

Peccary? I know Gravati uses peccary on a number of their shoes, more than most companies I've seen.

Org, I'm almost positive they are too big for you. The blue one is on it's way to Spoo, but I can measure the checked one if you'd like. :fistbump:

    I do.

Killer fit by the way Hans!!! Love that scarf! Here's one I posted over on the SW&D WAYWT thread yesterday. Our good friend Irksm thrifted the Rick Owens jacket which was part of a rather large trade between us. Thanks again dude! The rest is Dries Van Noten.

Soak the rest of the garment in coffee overnight.
