Employer benefits. I will say I work for a European company so I fall into there guidlines for family care. Getting those kinds of benefits from an American company would be tough.

Anybody in here know how to date turnbull?

Another pop, though I know nothing about this brand. I've seen it posted here before so I figured it was worth grabbing.

*Just noticed this was photo # 80,000 in the thread lol.

Mm, I guess I assumed you could clip the clothes from the back to itself. I'll think about it some more. Found a stand that comes with it which makes it more tempting...haha

It was so much fun to dig thru! The guy's daughter was there and said he bought most of that stuff in the 60's and 70's - which makes sense as those BB tags are definitely of the era, and "The Talbots" became "Talbots" in the 70's. I left probably twice as much as I bought - some too stained / worn out. And the women's stuff was almost all vintage Saks and Nieman's, sadly worn / stained / too dated. It was like these people were wealthy in the 60's and 70's and then - boom - they stopped buying anything. The sale also had about $30k in old (1950's and earlier) Lionel trains and accessories but I don't know jack about that so I didn't gamble.

Amusingly, they tallied me up and it was $78, so I handed them my debit card.
    "Cash only."
    Damn.
"I only have $43 in cash on me...I can find an ATM if you want to hold this stu..."
    "OK $43 is fine."

Guess that comes to about $1.53 per item - cheaper than any thrift around here.

Did a bit of thrifting yesterday and today but not too much. I'll post pics tomorrow. Does anybody recognize this label? Is it worth picking up?

Stumbled across this local competition today. Kudos to the unknown artist for creating a truly unique sign.

There was a lot of NWT older Vineyard Vines stuff, but they wanted too much for it. I think this guy was 60s 70s trad, not Lily loud.
