A pretty new antique-ish shop by me has a sidewalk sale every month, and they let people sell for $35 plus 10 percent. I was thinking it might not be a bad way to divest myself of some thrifted prints and records (at $5 a pop or so). How do you guys price art for stuff like this? A percentage of Ebay?

Do y'all ever find stuff in GW from people you actually know first hand? I picked up a nice Zegna jacket from someone I have known for a long time. Can't imagine I would ever mention this to him...lol. This is the second or third time finding something from a familiar person.

Yes, one of my clients, just a few weeks ago. 2x EZ Su Misura suits. There was some other killer stuff that week that was all the same size, guess he did a wardrobe purge.

The navy one still has the sales tag, but was priced a dollar below the silver one. #thriftstorepricingvoodoo

Because nobody really wants a navy blue, striped tie, right? Not versatile like a light grey and black(?) striped one.

Local large investment fund owner - I've had drinks with him a couple times, super nice guy. Him and his wife went through a fairly public breakup, rumors flying of her cheating on him with the prior college football coach. From what I've heard he moved out of their house and myself and another member found numerous Brioni/Kiton suits/jackets from his closet, they've all come from consignment stores so most likely the wife was trying to raise some capital.

I love it!! I do the same thing. I get a phone call when anything nice in my size pops up. My suit collection is now over 30!

Here's my haul today. Probably the most coveted items I've ever picked. All size 42 and very recent. Everything is much more beautiful than I was able to capture on my camera. I reached out to a friend with a photo studio so I can do these justice for my listings.

starting with the more mundane. I already thrifted recent Isaia x2 this week :embar:

I knew records were a hot commodity right now, but just had my mind blown over the weekend. My mother had a ton of stuff she was going to donate. I told her that we should just have a garage sale since I had a few things I wanted to try and sell. I went through my over-flow record collection in the basement and came up with 6 big crates of stuff I didn't like, duplicates/triplicates, etc. Sold over $1000 in records over the two days we had the sale. I priced most at about 1/2 eBay value and higher dollar ones at 2/3 of eBay value and they flew out the door.

Dang, if that were me, I'd tell them right away and then offer to buy anything else they are parting ways with.

Most of my friends and acquaintances dress like slobs. The ones that don't go to thrift stores and buy nice stuff, then sell what they don't want on eBay.

Some damn shirts from today. All available (except the last one... I will probably sell it) Sorry for the crappy pics. I didn't have much time to spend on photo composition / quality. And, by the way, the lot of four about halfway down are all Brooks Brothers 15x32.
