Sorry, @Selvedged, not real. Machine stitched edge, missing the marking above the second e on Hermes, remnants of content tag are wrong too, etc. Hopefully you aren't into it for much - might make for a good addition to the knowledge box (if something similar isn't already in there).

I thought I remembered someone saying that some of the high end like Chanel squares actually do have a machined edge...

Yup. Thats what I thought. Plus that doody fabric tag (the "silk" felt a bit doody too).

Nah, not in the slightest (unless a buck qualifies for "in deep" these days.

Any of you guys have insight on where Lucchese marks sizes? Or do they not? I'm not seeing a normal indicator, but these things are pretty small. Measuring by hand gives me a rough 6.5 men's/8 women's. Will ad some more pics of today's haul as I get off my lazy ass. I have no idea how those of you who thrift for a living stay motivated on the measuring and picture-taking.

Lucchese Classic: so real ostrich, correct? Wouldn't think they'd do imitation at their price range...

Hey Guys, I'm alive. Just wanna thank those who reached out, means a lot and I truly am fine, and for all else, I feel any attempt of an explanation would be futile, the narrative you have in your heads of what occurred won't be changed so I don't see any benefits in explaining or bothering to justify anything, the fact that the people, like clients who need to know, are aware, is all that truly is important, so essentially dealers choice, feel free to assume as you please, regardless however, if you have had any concern, everything is and has been just fine, thanks again to those who have.

Also @impuntura thanks for dedicating the Kiton to me I guess..one question though...Why?

Anyways haven't been in the field in weeks but got out Today for a little bit and I didn't do half bad, felt it was worthy of a post at least...it doesn't quite take the sting away of the 4 TF suits being thrifted from a Goodwilll you drive by everyday on your way to your office, but if anyone of us, I'm glad it was Nataku, definitely feel he is more than deserving. I wasn't even thrifting at the time so I would have never of gotten it, so glad it was him. Anyways heres what I got.

Ferragamo Label came off, 3rd is Dolcepunta logo came off but tag still attached, EZ, T&A, etc..

Crazy Tom Ford Era Gucci Piece from the earlier years. This suit was designed to appear to be completely button free. The cuffs are completely sewn sans buttons and if you look, the front has no button holes cuz there is a hidden button placket for buttoning the suit. Never seen anything like it, truly awesome find.

The most famous Chanel Silk Scarf, the Gold Chain one, the authentic versions are not handrolled, they're machine finished, so this someone was saying something correct.

Edit: And yes, co-sign the others, all Hermes silks are handrolled, every one, never machine finished

2nd Unrelated Edit that I just remembered: @impuntura that piece the other day you thought possibly said Pierre Cardin, it absolutely did. At one point in that mans career, i believe during the 70s, he had over 600 different licensing agreements with manufacturers for rights to his name just to keep the women's Hature Couture division of his Design house above ground.....don't know if your gonna acknowlegde this cuz of who it's from, but either way, you were correct.

I'm not worried about you getting soft or hard or whatever, I just feel like were both grown men, if we have differences we should just both handle them like grown men, and just choose to not address each other in any critical sense or take subtle jabs, just let each other be and just move on from this. And I didn't remember seeing the post where you stated you knew for sure, so I thought I'd just mention in case you were possibly still wondering if it was. And I'll just disregard the insult finishing a post that starts by offering to bury a hatchet, I truly have no interest in engaging with you, zero. I say we just try and let each other be and coexist and tolerate. I mean I understand you don't like me and by all means you have every right to feel however you wish and I respect that, I don't like a lot of people, but I say we just try and keep it civil for the sake of the thread, each others time, and so we both don't feel obligated to come off childish on a public online thread by talking shit back and forth like we've done in the past. I feel were both better than that and we just try and turn the page. I'll start, give you the meds jab, sans response and I truly hope we can just carry on as such. Hope you feel this is a fair compromise to our scenario and are willing to make an effort like I plan to.

Yea ad my dumb ass saw handrolled edges and similair to real tag and thought I came up on the chain scarf for 15 bucks which is probably the most insane thought I have ever had in a thrift store, second I sat down in my carI immediately knew how stupid I was. And thanks...and also that Polo Tux is fucking suppperrr crispy and I think matches your specs if your intesrested PM. If it were my size that shit would be in my fucking closet as soon as I walked in the front door.

Interesting that you mention the Chanel scarf has machine sewn edges. I have one I bought for $2 a few months ago. I assumed it was fake because of the machine sewn edges, but I gambled anyways because it was cheap. I'll have to post it up here for a legit check once I find it.

I will work on brevity in my posts. I'm glad we could figure something out and move past this cuz are both professionals, we both love this grind, and we've made it our life. Although obvious differences exist, I believe we can carry on with a mutual professional respect for one another and the work, time and passion, we both put into what we do. Civility and Professional respect can exist regardless personal emotions. I'm not saying you need to do or fell anyway, I'm just stating this is how I approach this situation and I think by doing so we will be able to get on just fine. Thank you for being open to this I appreciate it, and for brevities sake, I will leave the comments at that.

Not all are machine finished, theres countless Chanel scarfs that are handrolled too, I think it depends on age/when it was produced.

Ahh, Sprewell. Quite an infamous player really. Made Complex Magazines #14 Most Unsportsman-like of all time for choking out his coach in practice and got a crazy long suspension.
    Neat guy.
