Reminds me of the time I was at the jewelers getting my wife's ring sized, and some guy rolls in with a giant hunk of uncut gemstone (forget what it was) he said he found in an attic and he had estimated at over a million. Jewelers were kind of perplexed and said they really didn't deal in that stuff and he needed to go to an auction house. No idea if it was real or not but it seemed sketchy as hell.

Feel like any legit jeweler is going to want proof of ownership so they don't get burned.

I don't think I've even seen that jacket. What season? My most recent thrifted one was a Fall 2015 pair of jeans.

I learned a new term today: Lambs Nappa Leather. Found this Escada jacket (it was in Men's section, of course). Awesome stitching, I just need to figure out how to describe it. Available for any of your wives LOL.

Thriftbros, I have had some decent finds recently, and I'm going to try and pull together a post later once I get pics of it all. But for now, Can anyone tell me about these two?
Woven, no content tag, feels like silk I guess... what kind of weave is this? Not gren I assume but was curious what it's called.

The color bleed on the pattern could just be a "hand-painted" stylistic choice, but the overlap on the stripe and the quality of the keeper seems suspect. I figure it's a fake but wanted to make sure.

    Thanks in advance!

Repro A-2 jacket. Cool find! Love the old Army Air Forces stenciling.

Looks like a standard early-mid 50's wool field shirt. Nothing special but they sure are handy in the winter months,

Pop on Hermes tailoring. I think this was heavily altered, the rear vent is about 10" wide, the buttoning stance is crazy low, and the proportions are in general wonky looking. On the other hand, $8.99.

Well, it's not an 8 carat diamond, but here's the crown jewel of my excellent haul yesterday. Best jacket/pants reunion I've ever had. Praise the thrift gods.

Pop. Summerweight 3/2 dual vent staple, ~44x36. Yes, it's available.

Apparently, these come in private label flavors. Who knew?

I am starting a new job next week and I came across this today. It has Paule Cleiment's name embossed in it and on the tag. It also has Royal Air Maroc and their logo on it. I am guessing it is a pilot's briefcase. The zipper pulls have an A on them and the main clasp has ALCE and what looks like an elk head, cast into the backside. Does anyone know who Paule is or can provide me some information about this item.
