That Polo Sport should be returned (edit: unless you like it and it is for yourself), it has wear to the collar and would cost more to ship then you will make on it.

    Armani looks like linen.

I did terrible today, but I think my girlfriend knocked it out of the park (for our area) I'm sure Spoo's wife could school all of us.

    Any females need Pendleton?

Even though it's uniforms and not mainline we both freaked out a little, she found two, both fit her perfect.

The only things I did find... not clothing.
To be honest I've always been jealous when I see the books some people thrift, it's a ghost town for decent reading where I live, happy to find these.

Couple things from today, mostly fodder. Also picked up a Scotch House blackwatch blazer, not pictured.

Coolest ducking thing I have found in a long time. NWT John Boultbee (collab with Brooks saddles) hardcore bicycle parka. Made in the UK. Not thrift, but waaaaay less than 10% rule. N to the A.

Tried a new store today. Not great. Terrible prices on non-sale stuff. I did grab these two shirts for myself. I was in a rush and missed the size tag on the Ike Behar. Neck's too big, so it's available. (16.5 34/35)

I saw a weird Luciano Barbera women's tweed vest that tempted me for half a second, but I passed. Really odd piece. Had an elastic sweater-like hem.

Yeah, it's been dry there. I've left a few items there last week.

    Good morning.[IMG]

Still packaging stuff needed a brain break from bubble mailers.

I'm still not getting why this is being done. I mean what's the point if there not buying it how's it going hurt them just leaving it? So it never existed basically if there not willing to buy it? If it's trying to drive competition away that means they don't want you or anybody to make money on it then there basically admitting there leaving a potential profit behind. If there trying to send a message to the store about pricing then they got it backwards cause the store is going to raise prices even more overall if there continuing to have merchandise destroyed so there hurting themselves.

I think it was done deliberately to piss off competition and to be an epic troll. I agree it's fucking stupid because they could have just bought the dam thing. If I were trying to piss off competition I would leave behind picture print outs of all the grails I've kopped at that store and tape them onto the racks. lol But I prefer to be low key and a good person, so...

I find it is mostly shirts that are slashed because while they can be valuable, they usually are not that valuable.

Can anyone explain to me the hype behind Patagonia? Is there only certain type I am looking for? Doesn't look that expensive new. I keep passing on it as I don't understand it and don't have a need to wear it myself.

I pick it up every time because I work at a pretty preppy college and see all the frats/sororities wearing the stuff so I assume there is a market there. That and Snap-Ts are ridiculously comfortable.

Patagonia fleece, especially the snap T and Synchilla fleece line are popular, and if you get a color that's popular look out!

But if you try to find the same excitement for Patagonia shirts, you will see its just not there.

    Read above post/links.

Its not overly expensive new (some items can get pricey) but when a major marketing campaign/mission statement behind your company resolves around repairing and reusing your items, people search it out. Especially US made items and ones with bright/vibrant color schemes/patterns.

Hype? Hype doesn't last for 40+ years. The stuff is built to last. Period. Among the outdoorsy crowd, that's what matters most. There are certain styles that are more popular than others.

Last time I checked L.L. Bean does the same thing (fixing stuff for life) and I have yet to sell an L.L. Bean item for any profit. Is Patagonia more trendy or something?

Patagonia is better. You're comparing two companies like others here might compare Kiton to Jos A Bank.
