If you're asking for the sake of hemming, its a different story. Consider (you don't have to do this, other denimheads here may disagree, this is simply regurgitated advice) a hot soak before hem.

I've been following this thread sporadically, so I'm sorry if this has been covered, but are there any cargoes available right now? Not looking for the officer chino (I think), but I've seen examples of RRL cargoes floating around that looked good.

i bought two selvage oxfords this weekend, i'm just wondering whats the difference between the selvage and non-selvage? i feel like its more of a gimmick than anything else.

Besides the selvedge, the cut is slimmer fit vs. the boxy fit for the regular oxfords.

Really? Have you had experience with both? Or can someone who has confirm? I've only tried on the selvedge.

takes more material to make selvedge, and gimmick.
