You're going to have to open the clip if you want to fix it properly. If you use a long thin flat head screwdriver and some needle nose pliers and take your time it shouldn't deform much. I would then close it back up using an epoxy or glue to secure the leather braid inside more securely.

Anyone have experience with RRL's chunky handknit cardigans? Do they stretch much with time? I'm a pretty reliable size small in the whole line, but today tried on one of the cardigans and it was just a bit too snug on me. Felt like I should go up a size, but the SA said that the handknits stretch with time. Always a bit unsure how much you can rely on SA advice, as so many of them seem like they're just trying to get product out the door.

    Anyone have first hand experience?

I did some home surgery by opening the metal clasp with a knife. Hammered the claps on the leather and applied some krazy glue. We'll see how well it holds.

Curdory Officer's Field Pant - would it be safe to assume the same off-IRL- sizing applies than with say the Rigid Twill Officer's Chinos, meaning to go down 2 full sizes? Or is the sizing more accurate?

2ndly, does the sweaters sizing work reliably as per the chart?

    Advise appreciated.

That will probably do the trick, if not take it to a cobbler.

    Looks good.

I bought that recently It does run a bit big in the chest & waist. XL measured 25 inches for the chest which is more like an XXL

not sure if it is from this year, I purchased through someone on ebay with a pretty large RRL selection. The colors on the picture don't do it justice, its much more of a faded blue with almost sandy yellow distressed areas

The fit on my medium seems pretty consistent with past RRL button ups, also bought the "sons of RRL" as part of my purchase in a medium

I find that the differences from Large to XL are a bit much at times with RRL . I have a few larges that fit me great but others I need XL in & they fit great. This was def big so much that I have to tuck it in and fold the sides to give it a more fitted look.

Yours fits perfect & as I hoped it would fit me. Either way it's a great shirt

You can send Random Korean Dude a pm. I know he has/had a chunky hand knit shawl collar cardigan - really nice one from a few seasons back, much like the one someone posted a pic of a few posts up from yours, but all wool, iirc. He posted a pic of it here somewhere. Sharp looking cardi.

What's the chances of the RRL Fleece hoody, one with kangaroo pockets, shrinking a lot in the wash? Got an Xl and I could probably swing a L, but the XL looks OK in an oversized sort of way.

if it's cotton, it never shrink for a long time, even at high temperature.

Cotton tends to stretch a lot, especially on RRL stuffs.

In my experience, cotton is the ONLY thing that shrinks...
