If you are in the OC, theres a place called "Claws", which is pretty much the same as Boiling Crab, but the wait time is less and they have much fresher food.

Could you please recommend some nice/fancy Valentine dinner place with a romantic setting in the Long Beach area?

i live in long beach. there is no romance.
seriously, though, if you don't mind the food, the queen mary is kind of art-deco cool. you might like lasher's, though maybe not romantic enough. question back: what is the SW&D definition of "romantic"?

its been a few years, but maybe check out Michael's. it seemed romantic-y if I recall correctly. maybe its another restaurant i'm thinking of....i just remember it was someone's first name as the name of the restaurant.

sky room does have a great view. food is secondary. and then tehre's the part about having to enter through the lobby of an old folk's home. being greeted by somebody nodding and drooling in a wheelchair is kind of a "memento mori" date-killer. or it could inspire you to live it up while you can.

I ended up doing this after trying on some Acne and N&F at Fred Segal. The APCs are so perfect, I got them hemmed like 3" since I'm 5'6".

yeah i like them a lot ... much better color than the regular apc black raws that come out more like speckled black or charcoal

Civilianaire probably would have been a good bet for those jeans. Details and denim would blow away APC. Fits are all redesigned Jean Shops.
