Why would you end an auction early? I don't really use ebay much.

ebay is definitely more buyer-friendly, but as a general rule, feedback that low is a sign of

    1) a bad seller (risky)
    2) a new seller with few transactions (also risky)

id buy from you despite your ebay feedback, but only because you're known around here.

he probably sold an item outside of ebay, then had to tell the winner of the auction the item was no longer available for sale.

^ yeah exactly but the guy got upset and even wrote that in his neg rep so if any buyers would be curious enough to check (i only have something like 30 reps and the one bad) they'd see for themselves. the thing is, i've sold a lot on there, but most people, myself included, seem too lazy to make use of the feedback system which is actually important for proper functioning of the community. even here, sf, sz, i've sold a lot but have few ratings (sup drmmr :fistbump: ) ... anyway, i guess i am rather fortunate to have an e-rep of sorts here, for better or worse, that helps move products. keep an eye out for semi-older raf ( :spam: ) !!!

    edit : just got another +rep :)

    6/(6 + 1) = 85.7%

87.6% really does set off alarms. It's really not that hard to keep a high score.
You do have to be prompt and sometimes pretend to be nice to complete buttholes...

anything under 90% is bad, also ebay has forgiveness, after a few years neg rep doesn't figure into your percentage which means he had neg feedback in the last two years.

I get wary if anything is under 95%, unless it's a new seller. Usually I'll shoot sellers questions before bidding anyways, helps me feel em out (as well as their product)

Never been screwed over eBay, don't think

Not the kind of stuff you're selling, they are only really interested in "goth-ninja" or artisanal brands

    what shah said

people aren't going to buy the stuff you're selling, you have to have a 100 posts before you can sell, and they're really strict on not posting to increase post count

Yeah SZ is a good community in a lot of ways but I definitely wouldn't bother if you're only looking to sell your stuff.
