Really high life? I don't understand the fascination with this beer

I wish dates on beer were much more visible and don't use some kind of code you had to look up to know what it meant

Drink good bourbon and spirits, beer is and has been boring to me for a long time. I went through all the cycles, a lot of my friends went from homebrewers to either work as a pro now or owning their own brewery. Surprisingly, you will find more pros chugging PBR tallboy cans or sipping on High Life bottles rather than some new over hopped IPA. High Life is cheap, always consistent and reliable, I've never not had one and been like that doesn't taste like High Life.

Isn't it skunked pretty often? I've been getting more into session able IPAs. Peekskills lower standard is just awesome. I just can't do these mass lagers. Just not my thing. That light malty sweetness brings unpleasant memories

I moved to beer when I got bored of wine and I've been on a spirits kick for awhile and I'm moving back to wine now. Still drink a lot of beer

Stochasticity Project Grapefruit Slam IPA - I had been eyeing this for a while, although if I had known it was from Stone I probably would have pulled the trigger a long time ago. Totally worth it. Just the right amount of grapefruit to set off the hops. Very summery.

I was assuming it was entry level stuff as it's widely available, but that's good to hear!..

Is it worth making a 3 1/2+ hour round trip to pick up some Heady Topper?

It's a nice beer and Vermont is cool but, unless you're buying some to send to me, I'd say no.
