Lately Ive been thinking about getting some boots. I really enjoy marsells military inspired boots. I was wondering if they are worth the retail. Or if there is a similar boot of higher or comparable quality.

@bdude They fit pretty TTS. I'm a 43.5 (43 in CP, 44 in MMM GATs) and these fit perfectly in 43.

Wow, not much of a sandal guy, but not a sandal hater either. If you are going to get a pair of flip flops though.... those are pretty hot.

I really want a pair of white guidi slip ons. And black slip ons.

Mmm well good to know. It isn't really for slippers themselves, but I want something sleek, low profile to wear with drapier fits a la my fast-developing horde of jjve stuff.

Really some basic slip on vans probably would fit the same purpose, but guidi slip ons are sexier and have that wabi sabi feel which I think will work better.

For now I'm going to stick with my hender scheme gats in black.

those are cool, i don't think he makes my size, 43 is biggest and my foot didn't fit well.

BTW, really like your cdiem work boots, wish i could find a new/like new version for myself.

oh yeah for sure. i think i've decided those and derbies are my favorite laceups of carpe's original offerings. the tall boots are just too much of a hassle to get on and off for me... so only zips for those.

i got one pair of the 6 holes from re-porter. one pair from sz and one pair from eckblk. They were all pretty much approaching like new thankfully.

I have the marsèll back zip, captoe tall boot from 2 years ago. They are very much military inspired. I baby them. I did not and probably would not buy them retail. The quality is ok but they are a fashion boot, not military rugged. One nice thing is that the sole is constructed with inset rubber within the last layer of the leather so you can wear them right out of the box without vibram. They are on sale all the time. Just keep an eye out on FarFetch.

Took my new Layer-0 linen SS15 pants out for a spin the other night. I wasn't planning on hemming them but I think they may need just a couple of inches taken off. Shame, as the hem Alessio uses is quite nice (and my tailor can't replicate).

Also in this pic: PH jacket, Attachment shirt, Layer-0 boots (AW14)
