On the subject of prices... Let's say the average that people pay for a pair of leather boots is 70€. A pair of 3,500€ is 50 times more than the average.

If you make the same numbers with cars, if the average brand new car is 15,000€, 50 times that makes it 750,000€, which is roughly the price of a Porsche 918 Spyder.

Obviously even people who know shit about cars will be able to tell that that Porsche is way more expensive than your average Ford, but would find the price tag outrageous anyway.

With boots I'd say they would find it even more outrageous, since 99% wouldn't even pay attention to some artisanal boots. Actually I'd bet it's much more likely to get compliments if you wear a pair of Carmina boots or any other similar expensive dressy shoes than some A1923.

But who cares what people not into artisanal boots think?

all those images are from the AW14 showroom last year. Shocking that the color of the red boot is nearly identical to what was actually produced.

A1923 seems to be taking off in Japan. Lots of new stockists. Can't fathom what the prices are there.

Some of the Japanese A1923 stockists I've seen have the price listed as "negotiable." Wonder how that works.

Bringing the ballerness down a notch, are soft horse and full grain horse two different types of leather for Guidi?

I like those grey-green showroom shots a bit more than the puke-green they ended up in production. Could be the lighting, however

Yeah, he put up showroom pics for a couple models they're getting in because everyone (including me) has been bugging him.. still waiting for the delivery. Last shop to get them in Japan, but finally a stockist in Tokyo!

Not sure if this is the right place, but I picked up an IS sling bag after hearing of its greatness from fistinyoface. I got black cowhide after debating between that and purple camel for about a month. Leather has a really interesting matte finish, definitely happy with it. Now that I've upped my bag game I can go back to dreaming about boots...

I'd say this is the most fitting thread for the bag. It looks great, nice purchase!

    Its me [IMG]

    Purple IS
Plus, some extra pictures I got from Takayuki. This isn't the one I own, and I'm kind of glad I went with the black because it'll be more versatile.

Was wondering who you were on here :) Thought I recognized you from the back..

Did you pick it up from Gullam, then? What a beauty of a bag, though. I love the texture on yours, almost looks like fabric

I like your collection its so simple but has everything.

    1. Do you have any other footwear you keep for more formal occasions?
    2. Do you wear this stuff to the outdoors like hiking or playgrounds w/kids, etc?

I ask because i would think you have that collection for the everyday but still have extra things for special reasons.
