sorry but that only bears a superficial resemblance to the augustas, and that's because you tried to make it so. i've no doubts about the quality but the proportions are off, from the bulbous toe to the hilariously chunky body. the thick double row of stitching can also be quite jarring. no doubt all of these can be fixed according to specifications, though, but shape is almost everything.

^Same could be said about geobaskets and the like. They usually only work if the rest of the outfit matches the aesthetic and silhouette. Could see myself getting a pair without the contrast stitching and a slightly less bulky tongue.

    Nope.
    That is incorrect.
I didn't try and 'make it so'
I didn't need to. Plus the design itself isn't mine.....so let's be clear on that. I only was able to pick the specific elements.
I have Augusta sneakers from this season and earlier seasons, plus I have owned CCP sneakers and FYI they are more bulky.
I specifically wanted something different but not too different.

    Bulbous toe?

    Hilariously chunky body?

Billkill - I agree completely with your comments re ramones, profile and matching outfit. These work great with my drop crotch sweats. Not so much with a skinny pant.
FYI the tongue softens up and flattens out. Also I could have had black stitching but wanted to keep some contrast to maintain a trainer over workboot aesthetic

Like them as well. I still prefer Augusta a little bit more... but both are great.

I hear you buddy. But I don't like using £1100 sneaks as my beater sneakers. These I can without a worry. Mess around in the park with the kids...kick around a ball....
Still love my Augusta. Just serve a different purpose.

Trying to pronounce Guidi IRL over the phone the first time... lol

Luckily the guy who picked up at The Firm knew what I was saying. Why are white vibram soles and heel so hard to come by. Jesse doesn't carry any, and another cobbler quoted me double pay since he'd have to order sheets. Gentleman at the Firm sounded friendly enough but have to email him photos. He understood I wanted to protect the shoes...

Anyone work with The Firm or email them? ***chor@yahoo.com

    Sounds like a personal email.

Toasty, I wouldn't worry too much about white vibram. These are my rick boots with black vibram. Not really noticeable. [IMG]

    thanks!

Stichy SF hive-mind is corrupting you. When you started looking for a boot you said you wanted to spend around 500. Now you are looking at IS which is close to $1250 and liking those CCP which are 1700+.

    Tread lightly my friend... ;)
