Marco at PNP was wearing a pair of shorter Layer-0 boots when we visited, and they looked so cool and so comfortable in person. Dunno if the latter observation is actually true, but Someone should probably buy.

I was tempted to get them, I like my marsell but I want some boots with a cleaner profile. I have some off white layer-0 derbies and they're very comfortable.

yeap i remember, he and i spoke about L0 a lot, i think he was wearing a version of these http://www.pnp-firenze.blogspot.com/2013/08/layer-0-fw-13-14-cordovan-reverse-lace.html

He had me try on the blood red boots linked above and they are nice but once i looked at the last against the pair i just linked there was no comparison. Treatment is great but the toe looked bad.

Curiously I dont like the IS watersnake derbies because of the lack of upturned toe =0

I love all the other designs though ^_^

off topic: Charles always has amazing stuff but they are never in 44 -_-

upturned toes are overrated. IS has, by far, the best toe shape right now IMO.

    upturned toes have their place.

but i couldn't agree more with the latter half of your statement - nothing's moved me as much since Carpe Diem.

No idea how you go from type of leather that makes the shape look bulky? But again everyone has their own preference.

+1. And this goes for a lot of the brands we discuss here; the clothing/footwear take a whole new dimension in person.

BTW, did the write-up on PNP make its way here?

Shit tell me about it, every time I see my layer-0 derbies I want to put em on, the upturn toe still kinda stands out so I've just been trying to break it down, indoors. But in terms of leather treatment I think they do it best.

IME yes, for all the past few seasons.
The older seasons, back when they had the non-split, heel fit 0.5-1 size big.
