    I turned 26 on the 7th of this month. I don't know if I will be staying here my whole life. And if I were to move elsewhere for a job, I'm not sure if I want to invest in the remodeling of an apartment. So I guess until I get a house or condo of my own...haha.

    Might I suggest a teetering stack of shoe boxes ready to tip over at the slightest disturbance?

    Zippy = Paul Smith + Alden + Tricker's.

    Zippy,

    I can't do that, man. I live in earthquake county...safety first!

    My apartment is smaller than some of these guys' houses. ;) Two hundred and twenty square feet of living space, plus a kitchen and shower room. But, it's cozy and it's home. I've got my ~40 pairs of shoes in racks in the closet and in a couple of storage boxes. I need to weed them down to my favorite 3 or 4 pair...

    Honestly, I'm done for a while. I just need to get some good MTM shirts and I'm going on a hiatus. My next 2 big purchases will be watches so I need to allocate about $12,000 in total for that...plan to acquire both by the end of 2012.

    As for shoes: I have 10 pairs of Aldens, 2 pairs of Tricker's, 6 pairs of sneakers, and 4-5 pairs of rugged boots.

    I can see one of us on a show like "House Hunter". "We need 3 bedrooms, 1 for us, 1 for the baby, and 1 that I would like to turn into a closet for myself."

    Wow, you guys are nuts with all of your shoes. I have three pairs of Aldens, a pair of Trickers, and some beater RW GTs, and I think that's plenty...

    ...although, I do want some snuff suede LWBs :embar:

    It started with a pair of Indys for me last August, then it became a pair every month soon after.

    I'm tempted on the snuff suede LWBs too, but I don't want it bad enough to pay retail. I will get a pair if it shows up on the irregular listings.

    It means that he has about 30-40 pairs of shoes in his possession.

    This, and also because Shoemart doesn't charge tax or shipping. The shoes really do it for me though in terms of quality and pricing. Prior to the Aldens, the only other nice pair of shoes I owned was a pair of AEs, and I thought the Aldens blew those out of the water.

    I guess I'm not old enough to appreciate the super sleek lasts that the MCers love yet. I wear suits with my Barrie last Aldens all the time.

    There is nothing else that I really want.. I have all the shells sans #4 and enough calf to be versatile for a while. Plus I'm running out of room doesn't help. I'm just going to save up for my Rolex and Panerai and revisit the footwear department in 2013. :)

    As long as I keep my closet and dressers clean and organized and stuff isn't spilling out all over the place, my wife doesn't care about my shoe/clothing fetish. I usually try to get rid of a pair of shoes for each I purchase so that helps with the effort.

    My gateway drug into quality footwear was a pair of Allen Edmond Strands that I got back in the early spring of this year.
