My June email says $299 plus shipping. But I do remember ShoeMart had a 10% off deal in the Spring which could be used on seconds. Just remember to call and ask if the imperfections are noticeable. I have had good luck with their seconds but YMMV. Good luck.

I'm sure this was already explained, but how does one get on the seconds list.

it's really a crapshoot and honestly, i'm not sure how i got on it in the first place, but i am on the list, but i don't always get notified. case in point, i haven't gotten a list since february.

i know the people sound somewhat irked and tell me "everything is on the email", but i just call with the model or two i am interested in. if they have them, great, if not, try again later. make sure whatever model you want you preface it with FD, their designation for seconds. so when i ordered my 975 longwings, i specifically asked for the FD975.

I have the suede chukkas. They're very lightweight. Id say they are a great summer shoe.

NOMAR: I knew you would snatch those up. Great pick-up

Although it not very summer-like at the moment here in Seattle, but with my new pick-ups I'm pretty set for when the sun comes back out...
Snuff Suede longwings from Leffot (Thanks again Jim!) and Blackbird Ballard's tan unlined oxfords.

Also I'm thinking about selling both my Jcrew Alden make-ups, so if anyone in here is interested, please shoot me a PM. :)
Both are a 10D on the Barrie last. The Longwings are brand new and the #8 captoe boots have only been worn once.

Have a good one guys. :)

ive been resisting buying the suede chukka, but everyone raves of how comfy the flex welt and how light it is. its a very versatile shoe.

now that my clarks db's are dead, i had to bite the bullet especially for a long trip

+1. why have decided to part ways with the boots? I'm beginning to enjoy boots over non- boots. I prefer to have my pants hemmed on the shorter side thus exposing the beautiful contour of the ankle covered cordovan :inlove:

what do you guys think of a lw Alden boot?

Going to try on the Suede Chukkas this week at Leather Soul.

I get how these are considered a "summer shoe" for you cold wether guys, but is there any reason why they can't be worn year round in a place like L.A.?

Great pickups. I really like the suede LWB. I was looking for them last month but couldn't find in my size so I ended up buying the LS brown CXL pitt boots...
