Do you use the "pencil" method on new Cordovan shoes?

The Cigar LHS was a great choice today. :) Looking great with a nice shine. Always nice pairing with Argyles.
Congratulations and many years of happiness to you and your new wife. -Mike

Hey, fellas. Any ideas how often the unlined snuff suede flex-sole chukka gets discounted? I've been waiting for around half a year for even a small discount, but nothing has popped up. Does TSM ever have sales for Alden?

TSM seconds list is your best bet at a discount. Normal stock from any vendor rarely sees discounted prices.

Folks, I have a case of dry and uneven shades of brwon shell (non Alden), what is a good conditioning cream to use on shell. I currently use Renovateur but it seems to be more of a cleaning cram rather than a conditioning one. Also has anyone used Renomat on shell is it safe?

You likely have a case of a shoemaker using material from different shells.
Some folks are ok with the variations in the color.

If you want to condition only, and want to stick with Saphir, use:
    http://leffot.com/shop/index.php/shoe-care/shell-cordovan-creme-1053.html
    in Neutral

If you want to even out the color, I would use the same in Dark Brown.

Renomat is a stripping agent, and should be used only when necessary to remove buildup of polishing materials and/or acrylic.
Your shoes will initially look horrible post Renomat. You will HAVE to use some crème or paste wax with color in to even out the tones afterwards.

Looking good in your Barrie NST Bluchers. Dont see the Barrie version very often. Looking good!

Adam, you are looking good my friend in your Indy boots. Cigar is a great color on that boot. Yeah, creasing is a funny thing.

Looking great, Unc! Need to get sized on the LHS so I can go straight to cigar (and skip the #8 color).

Also, Need Supply and Haberdash run sales pretty frequently and Aldens are often included.

That is some dark Cigar, but still looks great! Looking forward to seeing how those look aged/worn in

Also makes me think a black shell wingtip boot with antique edging would look pretty nice too; has that ever been done before?
